With the rising popularity of manifestation and The Law of Attraction, many people are looking for solutions on how to create their dream lives. Getting started with the methods of manifestation can appear to be simple on the surface, but when put into practice tend to take some time to get a good idea of how to properly use them.
There are also many different types of manifestation techniques that can be used, and some may work for you, but not for others. I have listed my top 10 picks of manifestation techniques that I prefer to focus on. Maybe some of them will resonate for you and you can then put them into practice to create the life you have always dreamed of.
Visualization & Feeling Appreciation
This is probably the most common and widely used method, however for some time there was a great misunderstanding of what was required. Many people thought that the Law of Attraction meant that you ask the Universe for something and you will get it, it was as simple as that, but it didn’t work so people gave up.
The truth of the matter is that you also need feeling appreciation to be able to make this technique work for you. This was spoken of by people such as Abraham Hicks and Neville Goddard (who spoke of “feeling it real”), but it seemed to have been missed somewhere along the line, either with Deepak Chopra’s Seven Laws of Success or The Secret. I’m not saying the books or the people were wrong or missing stuff, however I think that we tend to want a shortcut to things and to just simply ask the Universe for something and then sit back and wait for it, seemed to be the best option. The other aspects were forgotten.
So with this technique you simply visualize the thing that you want and then generate a feeling appreciation for it.
Let’s say you want to own your own yacht, you would visualize that yacht in complete detail, imagine yourself on it sailing across the open sea, feel the wind blowing through your hair, smell the sea breeze. Bring it into the present. You have it now, it’s not something you want anymore.
As you continue to visualize, feel it with all of your senses but mostly with your heart. How does it feel to be on your own yacht? Does it feel free? Are you happy? Are you filled with gratitude for the things that you have in your life? Keep feeling it, and build it up until you are literally living that moment.
I think most people know what a vision board is, but do we use it properly?
First of all, like with any manifestation technique, get specific.
Instead of saying you want lots of money, choose a figure such as you want to make $10,000 per month. If you just put it out there to the Universe that you want to be rich, the Universe doesn’t have any yard stick to measure that by. Rich for one person may be different to another person. Rich and wealthy could also mean being emotionally rich and wealthy, not necessarily financially, so ask for exactly what you want.
If you want to live in a specific apartment, then ask for that apartment. If you want to drive a particular car, ask for that car. Don’t just say I want a new car (I did that several years ago and I did get a new car, in a sense. It was new to me because I had never owned it before, but it was an old piece of junk. Don’t make the same mistake).
Once you have your list of things then go searching for images and make sure those images resonate with you and make you feel happy. If you want to use words then make them single words or short phrases. You will be using this to trigger your subconscious as you walk past it with just a quick glance, so you don’t want to put long pieces of text that may take you a few minutes to read.
Print the images, cut them up and stick them securely on a board. Place the images first before you stick them down so that you can create an arrangement that feels good to you. If you haphazardly stick them on, you might not like it when it’s finished, which won’t help with your manifestation efforts at all.
Then put it on a wall, one where you will see it every day. A wall in your bedroom is good so that you see it first thing in the morning and when you go to bed at night.
You only need to glance at it every now and then, it’s just to keep triggering it in your subconscious mind, however you can take a few moments during the day to gaze at it and add some more feeling appreciation.
If you don’t keep a gratitude journal, you should start today, and it really doesn’t take much. Each day just write down a couple things that you are grateful for, whether it be the $100K you just made on a project or something simpler like the fact that you have a roof over your head. There is always something to be grateful for.
Why does this work? Gratitude helps to create feeling appreciation (notice that we keep coming back to feeling appreciation?), and when you are constantly expressing gratitude then you are moving yourself into a state where you can manifest a lot easier and quicker.
The biggest problem most people find with manifestation is trying to get into that emotional state where you can feel the joy, happiness, freedom, whatever it may be that you would feel if you were in that manifested situation right now. Being grateful just gets you there.
Scripting & Hypersigil
Grant Morrison, is the creator of the Vertigo comic The Invisibles, which was, as he called it, a hypersigil. This is a form of art which tells a story, and through the story a new reality is created for the author.
In Grant Morrison’s own words:
The “hypersigil” or “supersigil” develops the sigil concept beyond the static image and incorporates elements such as characterization, drama and plot. The hypersigil is a sigil extended through the fourth dimension. My own comic book series The Invisibles was a six-year long sigil in the form of an occult adventure story which consumed and recreated my life during the period of its composition and execution.
He went on to say:
The hypersigil can take the form of a poem, a story, a song, a dance or any other extended artistic activity you wish to try. This is a newly developed technology so the parameters remain to be explored.
We will get to sigils in a minute, but if you have a look on the internet at the moment there are a great many people talking about “scripting”. This is in effect a hypersigil.
Scripting is a method where you write a story where you are the main character. It is written in a journal format so you don’t have to be super creative and think that only artists and novelists can do this. Simply start writing a journal, but instead of accounting how your day went, write about how you wanted your day to go.
I would also suggest trying to write it in the future. You could write the entry in the evening which is written in the present tense, but the date is tomorrow, and in the journal entry you will write about how your day went, tomorrow, and what you accomplished.
By doing this you can direct the energy of your day and your life to a particular place or situation were you eventually manifest the things you want.
This is a relatively simple technique, however it has a much deeper esoteric aspect to it which most tend to miss. It’s nobodies fault, it’s not something that many people know about because it is based in Kabbalah.
The mirror technique itself is one whereby you stand infront of a mirror and you talk to yourself in the third person. So if your name is Bob for instance, you would talk to Bob.
A typical conversation would go something like this:
Hi Bob, you look fantastic today, I swear you look slightly thinner than you did yesterday, are you loosing weight? Now Bob, I wanted to talk to you about your business. You are doing incredibly well and you are ready to move onto the next step and start build your team. You are an incredible success, and did I mention that you look incredible? Bob, you are so wealthy in every aspect of your life. Your family is happy, your business is growing, you are healthy and fit, I’m so proud of you.
In other words imagine that your reflection in the mirror is someone else and they are talking to you. Use present tense vocabulary in the typical manifestation sense. You ARE wealthy. You ARE healthy. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t right now, you need to believe it and who are you going to believe more than anyone else but yourself?
Now for the esoteric and Kabbalistic part. I will speak about this more indepth because it deserves a better explanation than the one I can provide here. In fact I will speak more about each of these methods and techniques.
In Kabbalah we speak about the soul having three parts, the Neshamah, Ruach and Nefesh, or Higher, Middle and Lower Selves.
The Neshamah is essentially the connection between ourselves and the Divine.
The Ruach is that part of our soul that experiences everything, it is the part of us that retains memory. In many ways we could equate this to the subconscious mind in the sense that it experiences and retains memory of everything that we do and experience in our lives.
The Nefesh is our instinctual self and is a great deal more powerful than we realize. It has knowledge of absolutely everything.
When I was taught about the Nefesh I was given an exercise by my mentor that involved speaking to myself in a mirror. See the similarity?
By speaking to yourself in a mirror you start to create a stronger bond between yourself and your Nefesh. In this case you would be remembering what happened and experiencing the process of speaking to yourself, so the bond that is developed is a connection between the Ruach and the Nefesh.
If we then work on developing the bond between our Ruach and Neshamah we end up having a connection with the Divine, ourselves (intimately) and access to all knowledge. I think you can see the advantages this would have.
If you haven’t heard of the water crystal experiments that Masaru Emoto did, go and have a look at some of the results that he found, they are amazing.
Emoto exposed water to different things such as words and music. Some were exposed to happy or calming elements, some were exposed to angry and violent elements. He then froze the water and examined the results under a microscope. In every case the water reacting to the type of attitude or feeling it was exposed to. If it was happy then it would form perfect crystalline shapes. However, anything angry or violent became deformed or chaotic.
One type of experiment he did was to tape words to the bottles such as “I love you” or “I hate you”, and they had the same effects. “I love you” formed beautiful crystals, whereas “I hate you” was chaotic.
So with the water method all you have to do is place an intention into a glass of water and then drink it. If your intention is one of happiness, good health and prosperity, then that is what you will literally be taking into your body.
To imbue the water with you intent you can either tape a word to your cup or glass, or you can hold the cup or glass in your hands while you visualize your intent (remember the feeling appreciation). Send that intent as energy through your hands into the water.
This is something that I will definitely be expanding on because it is quite an extensive topic.
The term was coined by a Russian man named Vadim Zeland in his books about Transurfing reality. It has 12 golden rules and form the basis of how to live, think and feel in order to alter your reality. It is very much about changing your mindset so that you are not trapped in negative or destructive patterns although I fear this is not doing it any justice and so as mentioned, I will expand greatly on this method.
If you search for Quantum Jumping on Google you may come across the two glass method. To me, that appears to be more along the lines of sympathetic magick than Quantum Jumping (or even an expansion of the glass method spoke of above), so I am not going to talk about that here. If you wish to know more, do a simple search.
The Quantum Jumping, or Quantum Leaping that I know, involves parallel lives.
If you are not familiar with the concept of parallel lives, let me give you a brief explanation. There are actually two schools of thought on the topic.
As we go through life we constantly come across moments in our days where we have to make a decision or a choice. It may be something small or something big. Quite often we don’t even recognize it as a choice because it was so small and irrelevant, however it is incredibly relevant.
As we make that choice, we continue down the path that unfolds that choice and we forget about the other choice and consider it deleted. This however is not the case.
With every choice we come to in our path, both choices get made and our life splits off into different directions, creating a parallel life.
Some will argue that this is not true, that all parallel lives already exist. Therefore there are multiple universes (a multiverse) where we exist in all (or in some we are already dead). This means that in one universe or parallel life we may be an artist, in another, we may be a lawyer. Each version of a person is born at the same time, but their lives take different paths. Each world is also slightly different because the path of history is slightly different.
It is the latter school of thought that mostly ties into the concept of Quantum Leaping.
Through the process we can visit these parallel lives and connect with them. People who teach this method tend to have different levels as to how strong that connection can be. Some will teach that you simply observe but do not interact, some will suggest that they speak face to face with their parallel lives.
I tend to consider the former option to be the truth. We observe but we also connect with the energy of that parallel life. Personally I can’t imagine sitting down with a parallel me and having a conversation, although I have done it strangely enough, however none of my parallel me’s have come to have a conversation with me. Whatever the reason, I prefer to think of it as observation, seeing what qualities a parallel me has that I need to bring into this universe and incorporate into the me that is here, now. I can then connect with the energy of that me and sort of absorb it.
There are a lot of grey areas with this concept. That may be due to it not being explored enough yet, or just that everyone has a slightly different experience. The best thing would be to explore it yourself.
Sigil Magick & Servitors
I have spoken about Sigil Magick quite a bit on my YouTube channel, and there is a practical demonstration of the method I use to create and launch a sigil on my Patreon page, so I won’t go into too much detail here.
A sigil is a glyph that represents something that you desire. Because it is a representation in image form it allows the conscious mind to forget what it is, but the subconscious mind doesn’t. Because the subconscious mind is not objective it will continue to manifest that desire without the constant interruptions of the conscious mind.
Extending from the sigil (because you use a sigil in the creation of) is the servitor.
A servitor is a thought-form or energy-form that is created by a person to go out and manifest their desire. Quite often we do this without even knowing it, but if you create a servitor consciously, you can have better control over it.
Servitors are also known as Artificial Elementals and in other countries through history such as Tibet, they were called Tulpa, or Alraun in Old England. Because they are energy-forms they need to be fed in order to continue doing their work. If they are not fed then they will simply fizzle out. Usually the feeding is done by the person who created them, by raising energy and giving it to the servitor. However, if the servitor has been around for a long time, they can sometimes create sentience and if their creator has forgotten about them, they can find food elsewhere. This can sometimes get a bit devastating, so only go into working with servitors if you know what you are doing and can actually take on the responsibility.
Charms, Amulets & Spellwork
This is an incredibly broad topic and can be split into a plethora of different Paths, Traditions and methods, which I will be doing as the days, months and years roll on. However, I just wanted you to be aware of it because it is obviously something that I will be including within my personal brand and The Magickal Entrepreneur.
Let me give you an example.
In Kabbalah we have charms, amulets and kamea that can read, intoned and/or written. In Hoodoo we have gris-gris and mojo bags aswell as honey jars and candle magick. In Wicca we also have candle magick but we could also consider Raising a Cone of Power for instance. The list can go and on.
This however does cycle back to scripting. How you may ask? Well I’m glad you did.
In Magick we have books of spells and magickal workings, sort of like reference books, and sometimes they are called Grimoires. Another name for a Grimoire is a Gramayre which is the root for the word “grammar”.
When we speak about spellwork, we sometimes say that we are “doing a spelling”.
Both refer to altering our reality through the use of the written word, which is really what scripting is. So, anyone who is doing scripting is practicing Magick and Witchcraft, shock, horror, gasp.
So, now that you have had a few options presented to you, which one would you use? Which methods resonate with you? I would suggest starting with one and experiementing for a while with it and then try a different one.
However, if one doesn’t work for you then you may want to consider coming back to it at a later stage and trying again. Sometimes a method doesn’t work because we are not quite grasping the essence of manifestation and Law of Attraction itself. Once we have learned more we find that we understand it better, then a method or technique that didn’t work previously suddenly makes you into a manifesting beast.
The key to it all is feeling appreciation. If you can get that down pat, then you will have no problems. If you are struggling with this then maybe consider doing some sigil work which becomes a little more mechanical. You will find that you don’t necessarily need the feeling appreciation (although it does help), but you do need the belief that it will work 100%. You then do the work and let it go, simple, easy peasy.
Go forth and manifest.
