From the Goetia:<\/strong>
\u201cHe appeareth in the form of a Monster. He teacheth the Art of Rhetoric very well, and giveth Good Servants, Knowledge of Tongues, and Favours with Friends or Foes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another name is Ronwe, and the mention of good servants in the Ars Goetia, is referring to good familiars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connolly states, \u201cThe demon of knowledge and wisdom in the Dukante Hierarchy.  Can also be invoked to cause people to see your way of thinking or feel the need to help you.\u201d This does come with a warning, which is, \u201cBe careful of invoking Ronove to control others, because it will often turn into a lesson for your benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can ask Ronove to help us win favours with friends & foes, as the Goetia says. In other words, we can get people to see our own point of view or get them to help us in some way, don\u2019t take advantage of that.  Don\u2019t use it to forcibly control people because you will then get that lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jehannum mentions that Ronove will teach us languages, poetry and rhetoric and imparts wisdom.  Impart the quasi-sociopathic ability to control your own emotions.  His familiars are excellent for the purpose of research, magical tutoring, magical exercises & witchcraft.  Can bring about the destruction and death of the target, most often through illness & the affliction of the target\u2019s internal organs. He specialises in pyrokinesis.  He harvests the souls of moribund elderly organisms (including people) and he can humble one\u2019s enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Goetia Ritual says that this is where the monster aspect comes in, when it states, \u201cWhile the Goetia provides no specifics as to his monstrous qualities, Ronove\u2019s therioform (animal-like) would be chthonic and dark, manifesting nature\u2019s untamed, chaotic and dire side, making him a demon who can give darkness and nightmares to others.\u201d Some people, like Connolly, sway more towards knowledge and wisdom, and helping you to get other people to see your point of view, which isn\u2019t bad or malicious. Other people go into the whole aspect of causing the death of the target through illness & affliction, targets the inner organs and things like that. You\u2019ve got one camp which is more knowledge and help based, and then the other camp which is very much a killing your enemies kind of thing. This is one of those spirits that you will need to speak with and find out for yourself if that they can help you with the tasks you have in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
