In reference to him discovering \u201cbaths\u201d, these are not the porcelain kind in your home, but sacred bodies of water traditionally associated with healing and spiritual power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S. Connolly describes Crocell as another water spirit, one who can soften sharp or aggressive emotions and warm the cold-hearted. She notes that he helps people see both sides of an argument and reduces the tendency to judge too quickly, a valuable skill when dealing with conflict or strained relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional insight comes from Mirta Wake\u2019s Demonolatry Handbook<\/em>, a resource I highly recommend, as it collects material from multiple grimoires, adds correspondences, offerings, personal experiences, and practical cautions. Wake notes that Crocell can be harder to call down than some of the others, often preferring to work with those willing to study and learn rather than those looking for quick answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In The Goetia Ritual<\/em>, Crocell is identified as Procell. The symbolism of his angelic form is framed through a Christian lens: an \u201cinfernal\u201d being appearing as an angel is treated as paradoxical, a liminal figure existing between opposites. The authors tie this to Jungian concepts, suggesting that Crocell can act as an intermediary between the conscious mind and the shadow, serving as a conduit for enlightenment. While the Christian worldview colours this interpretation, the symbolism still points us toward Crocell\u2019s role as a liminal teacher, one who bridges divides and reveals what lies hidden beneath the surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fits his broader nature: Crocell is a spirit of water and sound, of subtle currents and resonances. So, while his offices may appear modest compared to some of the more dramatic spirits, Crocell offers steady and transformative guidance\u2014if you\u2019re willing to be patient and learn from the currents he stirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
