Connolly states that he is possibly the fiery part of Ba’al, and rules over the Fire Festivals, which could mean he has a relationship with Bel (baal and bel both mean “lord”), Bel Marduk and especially Malak-bel who is a Syrian Sun god.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is noted that he increases one’s influence over people, making one come across as noble or impressive. He is also noted as being able to reconcile friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His most noted aspect is obviously that of making the magician invisible. This is an aspect of glamour magick and shapeshifting in that to become invisible is to shroud oneself in a veil so that one is no longer noticeable. Becoming invisible does not mean that we become transparent, it simply means that we are not noticeable in public. Once you interact with a person they will suddenly become aware of you, prior to that they would have no awareness. VK Jehannum also states that he aids in astral projection and shapeshifting in dreams. This is likely connected to his ability to make one invisible, i.e. change one’s appearance. Corwin Hargrove adds the aspects of proceeding with stealth and creating a secret veil which are both of the same nature of invisibility, however the secret veil speaks of the ability to make anything invisible including valuable items, not just the person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
