Robin chuckles a bit, and then looks at you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the olden time, the Sacred King was killed to ensure the fertility of the fields. Just as the God himself is “killed” when the buck is struck down by the arrow or when the full harvest is hacked down by the scythes of the harvesters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Death\u2026feeds life. They are inseperable; two sides of one coin. Why is it, then, that so many people shy away from death? From the subject? From the thought?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we are all united, connected\u2026 if we are all one, under nature, then you can\u2019t die. This is a fact that all can see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spirit of the God knows this. He embraces this. This is wisdom. He knows that by giving up his own life, he is in fact prolonging his life. It is the secret. The Great Queen is the re-generating principle. She never dies. she changes, but is eternal. It is through her, the Mother, that all things find re-birth. Immortality is to be found by giving your life to her, that it can be renewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fallen God knows this. To die so that others may live, is not to die. The deer dies, but we eat his flesh and continue. The life of the animal is in us. We live. It lives. If we are all expressions of the same force, then to save any other part, is to save yourself. This is sacrifice. You \u201cmake holy\u201d your own being to continue on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the old times, community leaders, and sometimes chosen male members of the Old Faith were hung, and then dismembered and their blood was scattered in the fields, or their bodies were burned and the ashes were scattered in the fields. This took place on the Red Day of Lammas. This was to return the essence of the chosen representative of the God, who was endowed with the God’s power, back to the Earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, this practice has died out long ago.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
