From the Goetia:

“He appeareth in the form of a Man sitting upon a Dromedary with a Crown most glorious upon his head. There goeth before him also an Host of Spirits, like Men with Trumpets and well sounding Cymbals, and all other sorts of Musical Instruments. He hath a great Voice, and roareth at his first coming, and his speech is such that the Magician cannot well understand it unless he can compel him.”

“This Spirit can teach all Arts and Science, and other secret things. He can discover unto thee what the Earth is, and what holdeth it up in the Waters; and what Mind is, and where it is; or any other thing thou mayest desire to know. He giveth Dignity, and confirmeth the same. He bindeth or maketh any man subject to the Magician if he so desire it. He giveth good Familiars, and such as can teach all Arts.”

“He is of the Order of Dominations. He hath under him 200 Legions of Spirits, and part of them are of the Order of Angels, and the other part of Potentates. Now if thou callest this Spirit Paimon alone, thou must make him some offering; and there will attend him two Kings called LABAL and ABALIM, and also other Spirits who be of the Order of Potentates in his Host, and 25 Legions. And those Spirits which be subject unto them are not always with them unless the Magician do compel them.”

To put it in a nutshell, Paimon teaches arts, sciences and the occult (“secret things” being hidden knowledge), and will also give good Familiars to aid in this pursuit. He can teach you about the earth (geology) and about the mind (psychology), but seeing that he can teach all sciences, those would be included in a very long list. He gives “Dignity” meaning that he can put polish on anyone who may be undignified or uncouth, and Jehannum also states that he can make you become a great ascendant leader, influential person or highly trusted adviser. He can also make any person subject to you, therefore binding them to you so that you can have control over them.

Connolly adds that Paimon should be observed in the West and given offerings (Satan and Sons suggest that Northwest is the House of Paimon). Also adds that he should be sought to teach Alchemy and for creative pursuits or to design a plan of action, and that he can help with emotional understanding. In addition to the above, Jehannum also states that Paimon can transform the witch into a goddess (although I thought a witch was already a goddess), and can teach her to consecrate fire to make it even more spiritually potent (not too sure about that, Fire is already consecrated through its process).
