The Goetia has always been taught through circles, threats, and containment. This course keeps the substance and rebuilds the method, bringing you a respectful, practical path to contact with a spirit of your choosing, built session by session over four months.

Built for practitioners, not beginners.
This course assumes you already carry some practical occult background. It does not re-teach circle-casting or basic ritual hygiene. It starts from the grimoire itself and examines what should change.

You’ve worked a ritual before
You don’t need Goetic experience specifically, but you should be comfortable with ceremonial practice: circles, correspondences, sustained focus work.

You want one deep contact, not 72 shallow ones
You’ll choose a single spirit in session one and build every subsequent month’s practice around that relationship, culminating in an evocation attempt.

Expect direct engagement with why the traditional method looks coercive, and an alternative you build for yourself, not just receive.
THE COURSE THESIS
Departing from the grimoire, on purpose.
The Lemegeton’s 72 spirits come down to us through a specific, traceable chain — pseudo-Solomonic authorship, Weyer, Mathers and Crowley each reinterpreting the last. Somewhere in that chain, the method calcified around circles, triangles, and conjuration as threat. This course keeps the catalogue and rebuilds the method.
What we keep
The 72 spirits as a working catalogue. The core skills of sigil work, chanting, and scrying that make contact possible. The seriousness the tradition treats evocation with.
What we rework
The triangle becomes an focus instead of a trap. The vessel replaces coercive containment with a respectful place for a spirit to reside. Safety and aftercare are named explicitly, not assumed.
THE ARC
Four months, one continuous build.
Each session is 2 hours with a Q&A after the presentation: theory, practical work, and a live check-in. Nothing here is a standalone lecture. Every month adds to the spirit-work you started in session one.
Theory
Manuscript history and the Lemegeton’s spurious Solomonic authorship. The Weyer → Mathers → Crowley lineage as an unbroken chain of reinterpretation. The 72 spirits as a catalogue, and the coercive architecture which has circle, triangle, conjuration-as-threat, that this course reworks. Closes with the Jinn-vs-egregore question: are the spirits discrete non-physical entities, or thought-forms built up by tradition and collective belief? We hold both models pragmatically rather than forcing a resolution.
Practical
A spirit is chosen for everyone to work with for the rest of the course, then begin sigil gazing and enn chanting, the lowest-barrier entry point, requiring no ritual infrastructure, and the core receptive skill every later month builds on.
Leave session one having “met” a spirit, not just read about one.
Theory
The Triangle of Art in detail. Its construction, placement, and the coercion-vs-containment logic behind its traditional design, followed by how this course’s evocation method reworks that space into an invitation. Introduces the scrying mirror/crystal variant as a second contact channel, and the effigy/vessel concept: what it’s for, and why it’s a more respectful alternative to trapping a spirit in a triangle.
Practical
Guided basic scrying practice (mirror or black surface), paired with continued sigil and enn work on your chosen spirit. If you’re ready, begin a simple vessel, carried forward into Month 3.
Scrying is visually and experientially dramatic — a strong pivot after a theory-heavy first month.
Theory
Minimal by design: framing, safety, etiquette, boundaries, and aftercare for the live work ahead.
Practical
The heaviest practical session in the course. Finish and consecrate your vessel, then walk through Vocatio Astralis, the course’s own evocation method, step by step as a guided exercise before attempting it on your own.
Everything since week one has been building toward this session.
Theory
Light on new material: building an ongoing practice, working with additional spirits beyond your first, looking at additional communication methods, and what to do when a working isn’t producing results.
Practical
You run a full independent working with sigil, enn, vessel, evocation, after the class, solo, with group support on hand through the chats. The cohort debriefs together afterward, with an optional share of your experience. Ongoing support int he group chats.
You leave with a completed, repeatable personal method — not just notes.
QUESTIONS
Before you ask.
Do I need prior Goetia experience specifically?
No. You need general practical occult experience such as comfort with ritual structure, circles, and sustained focus work. Previous spirit work is a plus. The course teaches the Goetia-specific material from the manuscript history forward.
Are the spirits real entities, or psychological constructs?
The course covers both the Jinn framing (discrete, non-physical, autonomous beings) and the egregore framing (thought-forms built up through centuries of ritual reinforcement) in Month 1, and deliberately doesn’t force a resolution. You’ll work from whichever model serves your practice.
What if I don’t get “results”?
Month 4 covers troubleshooting directly like how to tell real contact from imagination, and what to adjust when a working isn’t manifesting results. You’re not left to figure that out alone.
