You find yourself in a low cavern, with the soft glow of a fire emanating from somewhere behind you. You hear what sounds like three women singing in unison:
“The Ebb and the Flow…
As it was
As it Is
As it shall be, evermore….
The Ebb and the Flow.”
You find yourself feeling tired, and you lay on the stone floor, and find that it is surprisingly comfortable.
You start to see visions, visions of animals, and forests, and people, and rivers, and laughing children, and dead bodies, and riders on horseback charging into battle, and of fish leaping, and of birds flying, and of strange little people with clothing made of leaves, chewing on leaves and laughing at you…
You start to realize that you are a power. You are a power that has an awareness of itself, and you are in a river of power. The river contains all things, all people, all places, all living forms, everything. You start to see it and hear it, and become it. The feeling is beyond belief.
You hear the Owl’s voice in your head say “The Serpent power, that we are all a part of, is like a river.
Have you ever watched the water in a fast moving river or stream? sometimes the water in one place flows into a temporary whirlpool, a small little funnel, and for a time, it remains independent of the river, like its own little entity, but then, it stops, and flows back into the river. For a while, do you think that the whirlpool considers itself something different from the river? It may. You are like that whirlpool. You flow in the river of power, and during one of your own little poolings, which you call your life, you may make the mistake of thinking of yourself as an individual, separate from the river. But you will flow back into it one day…one day….The Ebb and the Flow….”
You lose awareness of everything, yet before you do, you feel a peace you have never known.
