Union With The Divine

I realize I use this term a lot, “union with the Divine”, and also realize that I have overlooked the fact that many people will not know what I am referring to in this regard. My own views differ greatly from many people and using such terms as “union with the Divine/Divinity/God” could be taken as that which Christians talk about. It’s not even confined to just Christianity. We find this in Judaism, Hinduism, and so many traditions, but being who I am, my approach is slightly different, although if you dig deep enough, you will probably find this in the older traditions.

To start with, let’s have a look at what you may have thought I meant. This is bringing about our connection with the Divine, what we may call God, and in many traditions that is opposed to the suffering that we experience within this lifetime and our physical world. It is one of the reasons we do spiritual practices to release ourselves from this pain and torture, from samsara.

Another way this may happen is when God comes to humanity through an avatar. This could be viewed as Jesus embodying the aspect of God, or as seen in Hinduism as the avatar of Vishnu as Krishna, and many, many more.

In both instances we are trying to move one body, Person, to another body, God. We are therefore trying to reach “enlightenment” and move out of this physical world into a spiritual and Divine world, or bring the spiritual world into this physical in such a manner that it overshadows the physical, allowing us to temporarily forget about our pain and suffering.

If we have a look at a simple symbol, the hexagram. This is two triangles that overlap, and is considered to be the union of Man and God. However this is also the uniting of opposing forces, so we can see it as the bringing together of fire and water, masculine and feminine, bring the binary into a non-binary state. This is something else I often say, “bring the opposites into union, harmony, balance.”

Now, let’s have a look at this from a different persepctive. First we need to understand what this thing we call the Divine actually is. This will of course be different for everyone, but I need to explain my point of view in order to explain my use of the phrase “union with the Divine”. Here goes.

The Divine, or God, the Architect, the Source, the Force, the ALL, the Mind, whatever we wish to call it, is the Everything and the No-Thing. This is a force or power that extends into all things that we can comprehend, think of, examine, interpret, define, touch, taste, smell, hear and see. It is everything conceivable. When we say conceivable, this is all things that we can imagine, seen and unseen. However, this Divine power is also the No-Thing, therefore, everything beyond that which is conceivable. Everything that we cannot understand, examine, perceive, define, even imagine. It is the space between things, the void, the abyss, the nothingness, but even these things are words that will excite the imagination and create visual stimuli, so the No-Thing is everything that you cannot imagine, cannot visualize.

Now, if the Divine is that which I outlined above, we cannot move from one thing to another. We cannot ascend, or even descend. We cannot move away from, run away from, or toward. We cannot go to, and therefore, it is not a case of moving one body, the Person, to another body, God. This Divine aspect is everywhere, whether we can see it or not, whether we can imagine it or not, and that means it is in your own body, in the screen you are reading this on or hearing my voice from. It is in the clothes you wear, the bed you slept in, the food you ate. It is your neighbour, the dog that is barking down the road, the car that went by. The Divine is all things.

This Divine is also all things beyond these physical aspects. It is the emotions you feel, the pain, the sorrow, the guilt, the happiness, the joy, the love. It is the spiritual path you follow, the beings you may work with or worship, the Daemons, the Angels, the Gods and Goddesses.

This Divine is also all things beyond that. It is beyond the Cosmos and all the celestial bodies. It is beyond the light and the dark. It is beyond the good and the evil that we like to define to make ourselves feel better about our own existence. Is what I did good? Am I a good person? Was what he did bad? I’m better than that person because they are evil.

This Divine power is here, right now, we cannot move toward it. We can however become aware of it. Yet this is still not becoming aware of two bodies, yourself and God, it is becoming aware of Everything and No-Thing.

This idea of union with the Divine is about union with everything. It is uniting with the Divine element in the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Union with the Divine element within the seen and the unseen world. Union with the Divine beyond that which is Everything.

In order to do this we can start with ourselves. Recognize and become aware of the Divine, within yourself. You are Divinity because Divinity is everything. Recognize the God or Goddess that is you. Once you can connect with that Divinity and bring your own separated consciousness into union with your own Divinity, then you can start to expand your awareness beyond yourself. Extend it to the room you are in and recognize everything in it as being Divinity. The desk, the chairs, the potplants, the annoying fly, the trail of ants, everything is the Divine.

Become aware of that and extend further, to the trees and the animals outside. The birds in the sky, the fish in the pond. The buildings in the street, the power station, the bus stop, everything. Recognize everything as Divinity. What you may start to find is that you realize how precious everything is, and how connected we are to everything. Some people treat others, animals and the earth as their own stomping ground, bringing abuse and trash, spoiling it, turning buildings into dump, destroying land. When you realize the union you have with Divinity, you realize how much that hurts you, directly. Every time someone hits a dog, you feel it. Every time someone throws another bag of garbage on a pile that is polluting a stream, it suffocates you.

Now extend beyond that to the entire world, all of the people, animals and plants. Continue, extend beyond our planet and stretch out into the Universe, and beyond that, taking in the entire Cosmos. From the quantum to the most immense, from that which is 0 to the 1, it is all the Divine.

So when I say “union with the Divine”, this is what I mean. Some would not be able to handle this, and that is fine, it is a process to learn how to deal with that pain and move beyond it, to recognize it as all part of that Divinity. It also means that you take everything under your wing and you care for it all, just as you would care for yourself. It is a challenge because you will need to take action and do something about it. Like I said, its not for everyone.

What is the Darkness?

The idea of “Forces of Darkness” is purely a Christian paradigm. Some people on a magickal path like to use the term, either to describe those who are of the Left Hand Path, or by those LHPers to describe the oogy boogy forces and powers that they follow. This brings us to the idea of Light vs Dark.

The problem here is quite simple really. It just doesn’t matter. What you will want to work toward is to release yourself from the prison of being separated, and that includes using things like dark and light in your vocabulary. The separation this causes is still tied to that Christian Worldview that you want to step out of. However, to get to that, you need to have an understanding of both in order to know how to bring them into union.

So, if we take the concept of “Dark Forces” from the Christian perspective, this would be anything which is not Christian. That includes all Pagan, Magical, Heathen, and more paths. This even includes subtle practices such as Reiki, which some Christians still believe is “from the Devil”. Therefore, what can we, as Magick Users, consider to be “dark”?

This is going to depend on what path someone is following. If a person is a Neo-Pagan or Neo-Wiccan, then they may consider Traditional Witchcraft to be “dark”, because instead of calling the Lord and Lady which to many can be light and airy, a Trad Crafter might be calling the Devil and the Blood Mother. Just those terms alone might send a Neo-Wiccan into a frenzy, and they might start praying for the poor soul who is so lost in the dirt of the earth, with their stang, skull and cross bones. This imagery might remind you of something, i.e. the Christian praying for the soul of the damned person who has turned away from God, oh save our souls.

However, within the general Magickal community, the “Forces of Darkness” are usually in reference to the so-called Left Hand Path practices. Now this can possibly be viewed in two ways.

In many of the Left Hand Path practices, we find a focus on the entities and spirits of the Ancient Middle East. In some regards this is seen as being more powerful than any other areas of the world, largely because it is believed that these regions are where magic originated, i.e. Sumeria, Babylon, Persia, etc. and it is why so many people in the West are attracted to it. This creates two kinds of imagery. One is of the dark times when the people of antiquity were calling on spirits, and the second is simply the skin color of the people within those regions. This is a racist view mostly, and is just silly, however if you really think about it, this is some of the imagery that arises. When we are dealing with these ideologies, we are focused on the Ancient Middle East and that alone pulls up the visualizations of a dark continent, where dark people lived, and called upon dark spirits.

Then we have those of the Left Hand Path that like to make things edgy. The scarier and darker they can make things within their practice, the better they feel about themselves. This is usually a rebellion that is a reaction to the Christian ideology that they are trying to escape from. Unfortunately some don’t grow  out of it, and it becomes their identity, trapping them again, in that separation, and no better than the Christian ideologies they were trying to escape from in the first place.

There are of course those that consider themselves to be “of the Light” and someone following Daemonolatry, Satanism, et al are therefore “of the Darkness”. This is purely a Christian idea which has been brought over to the Magickal and Pagan communities, and one I think needs to be strongly rejected. It speaks of a lack of understanding and a resistance to growth.

However, the Darkness holds Wisdom, and the Light shines brightest in the Dark. You cannot have one without the other.

There is the saying “knowledge is power”, but knowledge only becomes powerful when it is understood and becomes wisdom. Here we can look at three of the sephirah in the upper part of the Kabbalistic Tree, Da’at, Binah and Chockmah, or Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom. Da’at is the Abyss, and as we know, an abyss is darkness, a bottomless chasm. We have to move through this darkness in order to gain the Knowledge. We then have to move into Understanding in order to assimilate that Knowledge, and once that has been done, we can move into Wisdom. The union of this is the Crown, the Light, Kether.

So, what do I think this Darkness is? It is the Abyss. This Abyss is feared by many because it is unknown. Because it is feared, it is all things which are feared. It is the shadow side of our nature. It is the beast that lurks beneath the surface that we are told we must cage and never let out. It is the passion and lust that we feel that we are instructed to keep under wraps in order to be accepted.  It is all things that we have been told are not allowed for one reason or another, usually because it is not proper or it is taboo. Power alone can be found in these places, simply by breaking them open, and when we dare to venture into the Abyss, we will find that comfort and warmth that has been kept from us as we float unhindered in the nothing which is everything.

The so-called “Forces of Darkness” are those powers and forces, entities, energies and spirits that are waiting for us to discover the extent of our true selves. The entirety of our being. We cannot be whole until we unite the light and dark within us and bring them into harmony. Until then we remain divided, separated, disconnected from that which we are.

Of course if we are going to talk about dark entities within the likes of Daemonolatry, I would say we are talking about astral parasites, lower energy beings that are not considered to be Divine Intelligences. These entities are around us all the time. A majority of them are thoughtforms created from fear, anxiety, anger, and they tend to feed off fear. In order to do that they will create fear so that they can grow more of their food, and these are the types of entities you want to stay away from.

Darkness is the spaces between the particles. The nothingness and void that is found between the atomic particles and sub-particles. Nothing can exist without the no-thing, and so Darkness is the everything.

The Djinn

The Djinn, called “God’s other people”, and the name meaning “hidden or concealed” are spirits from Islamic mythology. They are beings that live outside of our dimensional plane, yet interact with humans in various ways. This land is often referred to as Kaf (Mount Qaf or Qaf-Kuh) which in Islamic mythology is a legendary mountain made of shining emerald, the home of the Djinn.

However, we can look further back to the ancient Persians who believed in a similar spirit called jainni and jaini, being of the masculine and feminine. Inscriptions dating back three thousand years, show that djinn-like beings, called ginnaye meaning the “rewarding gods” and “gods of pleasure and pain”, were worshipped. In the legends these gods were largely benevolent, but could suddenly turn without warning. It could be said that they are the same as the Fae of European Tradition, the ‘inorganic beings’ that don Juan mentioned to Carlos Castaneda, and various other Otherwordly Beings that we find in tales and mythology throughout human history.

It is mentioned in the Qur’an that the Djinn were created by Allah before humans. Nobody is certain of when they were created, but tales suggest it was around 2,000 years before the first human. They built civilizations and some suggest that they burnt it all down, much like humans are now doing to our planet. Could this have been a race of beings that walked the earth, stripped all of its resources and were then banished to a parallel existence in order to replenish the earth’s resources? Could it be that humans were the next experiment, to see if beings created from clay and dirt could be better than those created from the “smokeless fire” of the desert? Who knows, but its interesting to consider.

Indeed, We created man from sounding clay moulded from black mud. As for the jinn, We created them earlier from smokeless fire.

Qur’an Al-Hijr 15.26-27

The Fall of Iblis

There are varying stories regarding the origins of Iblis. One account mentions him to be a high-ranking angel named Azazel who was instructed to obliterate the Djinn from earth so that they could be replaced by humans. Another account states that he created from the fires beneath the seventh earth and after thousands of worship to Allah, he was raised to the company of the angels in the seventh heaven.

Whichever account is correct, Iblis was the leader of the Djinn, created from something different form the angels, that being a spiritual light, but loved by Allah and allowed to stand with Allah. However, when the first human was created, Allah instructed all of the angels to prostrate before this new creation. Iblis refused and was cast out of Paradise. Iblis was therefore sent to earth to lead the Djinn and to stray until the Day of Judgement.

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration.”

So the angels prostrated – all of them entirely, Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated.

[ Allah ] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?”

He said, “Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud.”

[ Allah ] said, “Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. And indeed, upon you is the curse until the Day of Recompense.”

He said,”My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected.”

[ Allah ] said, “So indeed, you are of those reprieved

Qur’an Al-Hijr 15.28-37

In regards to Iblis being Azazel, it is worth going into the mythology of the Grigori or The Watchers. Azazel is often also called Shemyaza (in some stories they are not the same Angel, but stood alongside each other in the rebellion), the leader of the Grigori who led the rebellion of the Angels to teach humans various skills and to mate with human women, because he and the other Watchers were enamored with earth and humans. It is mentioned in the Qu’ran that Iblis said he would prove that humans are not worthy of God’s love, and would lead them astray. I would say that this tale and that of the Grigori are one in the same, and that Iblis/Azazel/Shemyaza are the same Angel. I personally work with Azazel and Shemyaza as two aspects of the same entity.

The Orders

Of all of the Orders and Classes of the Djinn that I have come across, the best and most extensive comes from the book The Vengeful Djinn: Unveiling the Hidden Agenda of Genies by Philip J. Imbrogno and Rosemary Ellen Guiley. From the Appendix of the book, we find the following:

Black Djinn

The most powerful of all djinn, little is known about them. The only reference we have is from ancient Persia, where they were called shamir.

Blue Djinn

The elders and clan leaders of the djinn order. They have little interaction with humans, but have been known to participate in important moments of history. They are known as Marid, Nekratael, and Afreet.

Yellow Djinn

Middle-aged djinn with considerable power. Most are family leaders. They have little if no interest in the human race and the physical world. They are known as Juzam and the nastier ones are called Efreeti.

Green Djinn

Youngest and least powerful of the djinn. They are curious and like to interact with the human race in the physical world. Many young ones like to play pranks on humans. They are known as Erhnam, Kookus, Aamar, Arwaah, Jann, and Amir.

Red Djinn

Very old and powerful djinn. Most were once blue djinn. They worship Iblis and their goal is to destroy all humans. They are served by other djinn, and in rare cases, humans. Some serve willingly, some by force. They are known as ghouls, shaitan or shayteen, and ifrit.

The Ifrit are said to be the Djinn that King Solomon bound and tortured.

The Solomonic Problem

When it comes to King Solomon and the Djinn, we will have to talk about one of the books from The Lesser Keys of Solomon, the Ars Goetia. Although the 72 spirits in this grimoire are said to be “demons” or “devils” they are Djinn. Now there are several problems with this book, of which two I would like to discuss.

Firstly, the names of the 72 Spirits of the Goetia are not the original names of the Spirits that Solomon summoned. The original text which was Miscelaneo de Solomon which was translated and put into book format by Nineveh Shadrach, titled The Book of Dead Names, lists 72 Spirits with very different names and callings. It is suspected that it was much later that the text of the Goetia was formulated as a combination of Miscelaneo de Solomon and The Book of the Offices of Spirits (Liber Officiorum Spirituum), the names changed and the inclusion of ritual formats that were not in the original , plus the exclusion of herbal lore which was in the original text. Johann Weyer’s Pseudomonarchia Daemonum used Liber Officiorum Spirituum as a source, and Pseudomonarchia Daemonum is also said to be one of the source books for the compilation of the Ars Goetia.

So, who are the Spirits within the Goetia? To the best of my knowledge, they are Djinn, however they are not the Djinn that King Solomon used (and abused). At least, not the Ifreet of the original working that were forced to built the Temple of Jerusalem. However, they are quite real and tales do refer to the spirits from the Ars Goetia as being those that King Solomon coerced into slavery. This is where the second problem comes up.

I can’t say that King Solomon was and is the only turd to have done this, but he is the best recorded, however he treated these Spirits so disgustingly, that they became quite annoyed with humans to the point where they can’t trust humans and wish us all dead. Quite frankly I can’t blame them. It is for this reason that if you wish to work with them, approach very slowly. The 72 Spirits that we find in the Goetia as we know it today have become quite amenable to us humans as they have found some respect again, but be wary anyway. If they decide they don’t like you, don’t push it.

King Solomon quite literally enslaved, beat and tortured these spirits. It started off with Ornias who was told to cut stones for the Temple using iron tools, which is quite harmful to these spirits. In order to end his suffering, Ornias made a deal with Solomon and forced Beelzebub to come to Solomon by throwing Solomon’s ring at him. Beelzebub was forced to cut blocks of Theban marble, and because Beelzebub is a mighty prince and rules over Tartarus, the humiliation made the other Djinn howled in protest. Being helpless, Beelzebub agreed to call the Djinn for Solomon who then discovered how to nullify them by the power of the angels.

As the tale goes, one of them at least, the first was a female Djinni named Onoskelis who was sentenced to spinning hemp ropes. The second was Asmodeus, who was extremely pissed and threatened Solomon with a prediction of how the Djinn will one day be free and reign over humans like Gods. Solomon decided that his punishment would makes things a-okay (moron) and sentenced Asmodeus to be weakened by iron, carry ten water jugs and to make clay by treading it.

Of course it didn’t stop there and later Solomon imprisoned an unknown number of Djinn is brass bottles laced with iron as well as holding them captive in magic rings.

This of course is my biggest gripe with Ceremonial Magicians who think it is ok to bind, trap and threaten the Spirits of the Goetia, and it is why we hear the stories of the Spirits fighting back every now and then. Serves them right.

In Conclusion

The Djinn are a fascinating subject, however because they have such a disdain for humans, firstly because they refused to bow to humans (not sure why they had to do that in first place), and secondly because they have been so badly treated over centuries, it is a good idea to approach them with extreme care. As mentioned the 72 Spirits of the Ars Goetia are more inclined to work with humans, and if we treat them the proper respect they deserve, they can be very friendly.

There are many stories and tales that are absolutely astounding, and even mention of Djinn marrying humans. We also have S. Ben Qayin’s book about the Ifreet that Solomon so liberally pissed off, The Book of Smokeless Fire. Although an interesting book in relation to the history of the Djinn and the applications of magick, I wouldn’t suggest going down the road of summoning these particular spirits. As Qayin himself mentions, “They are hate, pain and disease waiting to be released upon the world with a rage that is unmatched.”

You Can’t Be a Proper Witch Unless…

Over the years I have heard people say that they have been told by their “Elders” that they can’t be a proper Witch until they renounce Christianity. This has some bullshit in it, however, there is something that speaks to holding onto a worldview which is no longer yours.

The problem we face when moving from Christianity to some form of Pagan Path, is that we have been trained to think in a particular way. We need to give all of our hopes and dreams to a disembodied old man in the clouds, and we really have no power to direct our own lives. We also have to recognize good from evil, right from wrong. However this become more and more subjective and personal when we realize that we have been following the worldview of someone else.

This is the thing. Everybody’s worldview is personal. If you have a teacher that doesn’t support the worldview that you are creating, and demands that you fall into their worldview, is really just still tied into their old Christian life. The old saying “My way or the highway” is a Christian worldview and anyone who tells you that their way is the only way and you have to give up what you believe in, in order to become a Witch, should be passed off as a bad lesson.

The difficulty is that mixing Christianity and Witchcraft can be a little hit and miss because the worldviews are so different. Monotheism is very different to polytheism, and the two generally don’t go together. Even if you keep all of the entities that we find in Christianity such as Jesus, Mary, the Holy Ghost, et al, or include the Saints and Angels from Catholicism, and worship these entities within the framework of a Craft, we are no longer practicing a monotheistic format, and can therefore no longer be referred to as Christian. However, people do it.

This is where we find the development of a personal worldview, one that is designed specifically for you, and that you will continue to change and grow as the years go by.

But here’s the crunch. In order to develop your own worldview, you do need to reject everyone else’s, to an extent. Obviously, completely ignoring all worldviews would leave you not being able to learn any, so you need to explore. In that exploration, latch onto a worldview and try it on for a while, see how it fits. If it’s too tight or too baggy, you might want to try on another one, until you find a good fit. Once you have found the ideal worldview for you, at this particular time, then explore it. Get to know it, learn about its depth, its difficulties, its likes and dislikes. Create a love affair with it.

Once you have discovered all you need to know about that worldview, at that time, you can stick with it, explore it more, or try on another one and see if that helps to develop you further. This is how we create our own worldview, our own path to walk. That path will probably be a Crooked Path, full of twists and turns, but then you will start to understand Witchcraft. The way to Knowledge is not paved with a straight road from A to Z, it twists and turns and you find nuggets of hope and happiness in the nooks and crannies of life.

Now to come back to the idea of renouncing a faith in order to be a “proper” Witch. You may find that you do need to reject the worldview you have grown up with, for the simple fact that it holds onto you and doesn’t allow you to grow. However, once you shed that worldview, you can then start to pick up pieces that still resonate with you. It may not be the complete picture of someone else’s way, but it will be the beginning of your way. However, you can’t start to build your own path until you step off someone else’s.

So, although it is rather brazen for a teacher to say “You can’t be a proper Witch until you renounce Christianity”, there is some truth in it, I just wouldn’t put it that way. What you are trying to do is loosen the threads and tethers that bind you to that faith. Allow yourself to become free of it, so that you can then explore your own path. This process however, especially from the faith that you were programmed with from a young child, can take years to accomplish, and even after a couple decades, you still find yourself giving into that old programming, although it becomes easier to catch.

Once you start doing that however, you will find yourself loosening up, freeing yourself from the grips of a controlling organization. It’s not really about the religion or the teachings, its mostly about the people and the militant behavior that they have developed. However, if you go from a controlling teacher to another controlling teacher, you will just be holding onto that worldview, the one that says you will be told how to do things. For some people, they need that, for others, they want to break away from it, however it is not always easy to do that.

Do you have to completely reject everything from that faith? No, not at all. Many magical traditions and paths around the globe have adopted Christianity and Catholicism into their workings. Hoodoo is a prime example. Although it was a necessity to adopt the Saints into the practice in order to stay alive, it became ingrained and now, even though there is not the same threat of being killed unless you follow the way of the slave master, Christianity and Catholicism is still an integral part of their system. Even if you go into Traditional Witchcraft you will find a lot of integration with Christianity, in fact anyone who follows the Craft of their lineage that originates from somewhere like England, if they have a family lineage of Witchcraft, will have Christian elements intertwined with their practice, its unavoidable. Of course, many of the older folx and people who follow these Old Ways, will often not refer to themselves as Witches. They may take on the titles like Cunning Man or Woman, Green Gown, etc. So, if you don’t want to call yourself a Witch, that’s also fine.

This brings up the question, is there such a thing as a “proper Witch”? I don’t think there is. The word proper means “denoting something that is truly what it is said or regarded to be”. A Witch is so diverse, and every Witch is different in every way. We are all different in our own worldview and practice. Sure we have some common threads that overlap, but no two Witches are the same, so what is a “proper Witch”? Nobody will ever know. So if someone tells you that “you can’t be a proper Witch unless…”, they are probably just trying to project their own worldview onto you, making it their way or the highway, and that is someone who is still stuck in the Christian worldview themselves.

Check, Double Check and Triple Check

Quite often, finding or trying to find information about something spiritual, something magical, some specific information is quite difficult because of the number of authors, websites, blogs, YouTube channels and everything that is out there, so how do we test what’s correct and what’s not.

There are a few things to bear in mind:

Don’t believe anything that anybody says, including myself.

Go out, check, double check and triple check the information.

I say this because it came up as I was reading one of Michael W Ford’s books.

Michael W Ford is considered to be an authority in the LHP communities. I don’t particularly like Michael W Ford’s writings, I don’t like his books, but that’s just me and it’s my opinion.

A lot of people do, they find value in it, and they find it worthwhile, however, I did come across a few things, but one of the glaring obvious things or mistakes, was that in this book, he shows images of different kinds of circles that you can create.

In two of them, in the middle, is the evocation triangle, with the name Azazel in Hebrew, and in two of them, he got them correct. It reads as Azazel in Hebrew.

Then he talks specifically about the evocation triangle and gives an image of the evocation triangle, with the Hebrew letters, and states that it is the name of Azazel in Hebrew, and it’s not, it’s completely different. The letters in there have two lameds, Azazel only has one lamed. I don’t know what name he has put in there, but it definitely wasn’t Azazel.

This is why I want to bring this up.

It doesn’t matter how accomplished somebody is.

How authoritative they are, what position they hold in the community.

Check, double check and triple check the information.

Don’t just take it at face value because it doesn’t matter who it is, they’re going to make mistakes, we all make mistakes, we are only human, but if you have published and re-published a book several times, somewhere along the line you should have picked up a glaring mistake like that.

The spelling and other errors in the book is absolutely unbelievable.

Right through the book it’s supposed to say ‘acausal and causal’, but it gets written as ‘casual and acasual’.

There are a few things to bear in mind here.

There is UPG, which is unverified personal gnosis, and a lot of people have that, and they do write about it. It doesn’t mean that it’s wrong, it just means that it’s personal knowledge that they gained in their own practice. They may have been given particular knowledge or information, and all they are doing is talking about that.

At some point it could become a group collective, where a lot of people are experiencing the same thing, given the same information and then it becomes verified gnosis eventually.

When people do speak about UPG, they should rightly say this is the experience I had, or this is the knowledge I gained from a particular practice, and just state that it is UPG.

A lot of people don’t because they talk about a particular topic and then it just comes up somewhere and they just carry speak about it.

Even with UPG, UPG doesn’t mean that it’s wrong, in fact, in some cases it could be more accurate than something else, but just bear in mind that it hasn’t been verified. The knowledge has not been verified.

When you are reading this type of information, or hearing about this type of information, or whatever information or knowledge it is, take that knowledge, take that information and test it, and as I said, check, double check and triple check everything.

You have to do your homework, or else you will end up believing something somebody else does and just follow like a sheep and, especially on the left-hand path, that’s not the way to do it.

In fact, in that book of Michael W Ford’s, what I found quite disturbing was that he basically mentions that you should not ask questions.

If you had an experience, you should not ask another practitioner, and bounce it off them and try and get their perspective, because it makes you appear weak, and this is something we’re experiencing quite a lot in the communities.

People feel that they shouldn’t ask questions, because it makes them appear weak and that is very wrong. You should be asking questions.

If you are having experiences and you’re not sure what the experience is about, you need to ask people if they have had the same experience, and what their interpretation of it was and what they took away from it, so that you can verify your own experience.

At the end of the day, if you’re not asking the questions, if you are just blindly reading other people’s information without checking or double checking it, you’re going to just follow.

The left-hand path is about creating your own self, you own self-worth. You’ve got to ask questions in order to determine if what you experienced was actually something that you can take with you on that journey.

Something else to bear in mind when reading information, especially when it comes to mythology, well not mythology itself, but how people relate to the spirits, for instance.

One person may say that Satan and Lucifer are the same being, another person will say they are separate beings. One person will say that Lilith, Babalon and Hekate are the same being, another person will say they’re not, they’re all separate, they’re all individual.

Just remember that not everybody has the same viewpoint about these things and some people can be hard polytheistic and other people are soft polytheistic.

You have all of these different paths and traditions in the world.

In a lot of cases, they are following a similar pattern, but not quite the same. They’re kind of going parallel, sometimes they veer off completely, but we all have our different beliefs and our different understandings of the deities, of the universe, how things are created, how things are manipulated.

So, when you’re reading somebody else’s information, see what resonates for you and discard the things that don’t, but at the same time remember them, because at some point in your life you could come across a particular bit of information, which does resonate with you, which changes your entire perspective of what you believed in the past.

There is no harm in that, you shouldn’t think that there’s something wrong or that you were wrong or anything like that. It’s just a matter of your path developing and growing, and with growth comes change.

You could, at some point, veer off completely from what you’ve believed in the past and go in a new direction, and if you have all that knowledge gained from other people, you can go back and start pulling out what now resonates with your new journey.

So, read all of the stuff, but check, double check and triple check the information.

Do not take things on faith or blindly and also remember there is UPG, it doesn’t mean it’s wrong, doesn’t mean it’s right. It needs to be tested.

Also remember that everybody has their own beliefs, their own understandings, and how they came to these understandings in their own logical sense, and if it fits in with their path, and their beliefs, it doesn’t need to be your belief.

I have found a lot of people pick up a book of magick and that’s really the only experience they’ve had at that point, and that becomes their bible. This especially happens with a beginner, they pick up a book, it makes perfect sense to them, it helps them progress, move away from the path that they’re trying to move away from, for instance, and they feel a sense of responsibility.

It’s gratitude, and so they will then continue with that information and disregard all other information, and when somebody comes along and challenges that information they have, they kind of freak out and say “You’re wrong!”

Don’t do that, get as much information as you can.

If you’re studying one particular topic, study 10 different authors on that topic.

Find out where the overlaps are, find out which information is correct, and which is not. Compare, check, don’t go on blind faith.

I hope this helps in developing your own path and your own journey, just a little bit.

Please remember, it doesn’t matter who it is, it doesn’t matter what authority they have in any community, or on any particular topic. Check them, don’t go on blind faith, because, as I’ve said, I’ve found mistakes in people’s books who have written 20 plus books which tends to make them an authority. It doesn’t, it makes them human, they are still human and they will still make mistakes, but when they are glaring mistakes that they have not corrected over years, you’ve got to question that.

Manifestation Timing

Today I would like to talk about manifestation techniques and really how things manifest, the process that happens, as there is a bit more to it than what most of these new age manifestation channels talk about, so I just want to get into that.

We’ve got all these new age manifestation people all over the place, and they usually portray themselves having these amazing lives, traveling and rich. They did some manifestation technique and all of a sudden, the next day they had $5 000.00 in their bank account. They carried on from there and they make it sound so easy.

You then sit and you try this technique, and nothing happens and you’re trying to figure out if there is something wrong with you, but there usually isn’t.

With magick we realised at some point what’s going on, and we have spoken about this in the Black Hat chats, as it has come up a few times, but I don’t think we’ve actually done anything specific or focused on the topic itself, that’s why I want to mention it today.

In order for something to manifest physically, it first needs to manifest astrally.

What this means is that something will manifest on the astral plane and then it will slowly bleed through to the physical plane.

When we do spell work and things of that nature, if it’s for something that is not already manifesting on the astral, then it first needs to form in that realm. Therefore, it can take a while for that thing to come through and manifest physically because it first needs to form on the astral.

There’s no real definite answer as to how long it can take, but I usually suggest about two to four weeks, a full or half moon cycle.

When you see all these people on their YouTube channel saying that I did a manifestation technique and the next day it manifested, what is probably happening is that these people are tuned in on what’s already manifesting on the astral plane, which is why it happened so quickly.

This is where people are having a lot of difficulties with their magick or manifestation techniques, because they do the same thing and the next day, they don’t have it and then they give up. They start thinking there’s something wrong, they start thinking negative thoughts and those negative thoughts block the manifestation itself.

You need to understand that it’s not going to happen immediately, especially if it hasn’t started manifesting on the astral plane already.  These people are in some fashion sensitive and they are picking up what has already started manifesting and they tune into that flow of energy. Most of the time, they don’t even realize this.

Once they have this positive manifestation experience, they then have this confidence, but because that flow already started, the next thing then starts manifesting and the next and so on, but it’s already manifested on the astral plane.

All they are doing is following that flow, so they carry on doing these manifestation techniques and the things keep manifesting and they become these “master manifestors”.

Nothing wrong with that and I’m not saying there is anything wrong with them. I’m not saying that they are bringing you a lot of bull, I’m just saying if somebody else tries the same manifestation technique and it doesn’t start working immediately, they start thinking negatively and they start to think that they are useless and can’t do it, and they shouldn’t. All it means is that you are trying to manifest something that hasn’t started to manifest, and that’s the difference.

These people are manifesting things that already started to manifest on the astral plane, and it’s gotten to that point where it’s about to bleed through to the physical realm. They do their manifestation technique and suddenly it manifests physically.

When you are doing your magick, when you are doing your manifestation techniques, if it doesn’t manifest physically in a day or two, don’t think there is something wrong with you or your magick or your spell work. Give it at least two weeks, if you can, give it four weeks.

Between two and four weeks is usually a good time period to judge whether your magick is working or not.

However, not all of your magick is going to work. There are a lot of elements that can come in and cancel out what you’re doing. It could be your own thoughts. It could be something that is bigger than what you are trying to manifest.

When you are doing your spell work or your manifestation techniques, just give yourself the time it needs to physically manifest.

Do your spell work and put out the energy. That energy then goes into the astral and it starts to form the thing you desire on the astral. Then it’s got to come and bleed through to the physical, and you need the period of time to allow it to happen.

If it’s something that is already manifesting on the astral, and you do your spell work, and in a day or two you’ve manifested it; great, all you’ve done is pick up what is on the astral plane already and you just followed through with your manifestation technique to bring it through to the physical realm.

If it’s something that you need to manifest completely from scratch, just make sure that you give yourself the time.

I do think that a lot of people on YouTube at the moment are giving the false impression that you can do this 5-5-5 technique, as an example, and the next day you’ll have $10 000.00 in your bank account, or something like that.

It’s not going to happen the same for everybody, it’s not going to happen in the same time frame for everybody, and you just need to be aware of that, and don’t think there is something wrong with you or you’re not doing something right.

You could be doing everything right, but you’re not allowing yourself enough time, and when it doesn’t manifest, you then block it, you then push it off the tracks or rails, because now it’s not working.

Just be patient.

Patience is a very good thing, it’s a virtue they say.

Be patient with your magick, be patient with yourself and allow things to happen the way they need to, the way they should.

Energy Manipulation in Magick

I want to talk about how energy can be manipulated and formed, morphed into an actual being, a servitor.

When we think about magick, there are certain models that people explain how it works.

For instance, if we are specifically talking about sigil magick, we may talk about the model of how the sigil, the glyph is transferred from the conscious to the unconscious mind, and through the trance state, we bypass the psychic censors etc.

When talking about magick in general, we’re talking about manipulating energy to our will and that happens with all forms of magick, no matter what it is.

Everything is energy, and we interact with that energy on a daily basis, but in different ways.

If you think about it. If we just walk down the passage, we are shifting the air around us. That air is energy, and our body is a ball of energy. The energy lines and energy filaments are just moving all the time.

Have a look into Chinese medicine and the meridians that flow through the body. We are really just this big bundle and ball of energy.

If you are walking down the passage, it’s really energy which is passing through energy and all of that is combined.

We can look into Avir and Ruchaniyut from Kabbalah which is basically universal energy which is unformed (that is Avir), and then becomes formed (or Ruchaniyut) when it enters a body, but that energy flows in and out of that body constantly, all the time.

We’re all connected, everything is connected by this constant flow of energy.

When we work with magick, I like to imagine it as picking up on these filaments, these threads of energy and forming them or directing them in a particular manner, in a particular way.

We can build up a ball of energy in front of us and find the thread that the magick needs to travel along to get to its destination, to its target, and then push it.

That ball of energy would be imbued with the intent, will and desire that you have for that particular spell working and then you push it along the thread.

There are some advanced practices where you work with the threads. You can imagine it like a spider web. You feel the vibrations that are happening on a particular thread within that spider web, and you can pluck that thread and send the vibrations back to its source or target.

All of this is working with the energy that is flowing constantly around us, through us, in us, forming into bodies and then flowing beyond that body and flowing into the cosmos and into other bodies, so there this constant back and forth of energy which just keeps flowing constantly.

If we look specifically at servitors, which is very much the creation of an intelligent being. That servitor, that being we are creating becomes a ball of energy and that ball of energy gets programmed with a certain intention, with a certain task, and then it’s sent off to do that task.

If we use the Element of Fire to fill this ball of energy, we pull the Fire energy into the body which then gets transmuted and pushed out of the body to be formed into this ball, so it’s a concentration of that particular energy. That energy then gets imbued with our will, our desire.

We usually think of that as thought, so we speak to it, but in order to tell it what to do, we first need to think it, and thought itself is energy.

A lot of people like to explain thought as radio waves which we emit from our heads. That thought is energy and it gets transferred into speech and we speak it. The vibrations that come out of our mouths, again, is energy.

I think you can see what I’m trying to say here.

All of this is energy.

If it’s thought, it’s energy, it comes out as waves.

If we transmute that thought into speech, that speech is a vibration which is energy and gets pushed into a particular thing.

We’ve pulled in a particular Element, that energy of the Element gets pushed through the body. It gets pushed out of the hands and gets formed, concentrated into this ball of the Element itself.

Then we have a thought which is energy that gets transferred to speech, which gets vibrated out into that ball of energy and that is energy itself being pushed into energy and that energy is imbued with our will, our intent.

That energy is then sent off along a line of energy to go and do its task and meet its target etc.

All of this is working with energy and because everything is energy, it becomes possible.

When it comes to magick, I like to think in these terms. Everything is energy, energy flows everywhere and we can form this energy how we want to, how we will it.

You can even take this into a non-magical scenario.

Let’s take the mob-mind for instance.

You have a group of people which become a mob. They all start to believe the same thing. They start to flow in the same direction. They become a mob and it’s only when that mob-mind is broken that they realize that they were just being pushed with this flow of energy, and it was so powerful that they couldn’t stop themselves. They couldn’t control themselves, they were totally taken over by this flow of energy and they became part of the mob. Once that energy is shattered, is broken, they become their own individual selves again and they flow in their own direction.

It’s a flow of energy that pushes them, that takes them, and it’s all just energy.

If we look at the world, our surroundings, as we see them, it’s all again, energy. You may look at a tree or a wall or your computer or your phone and you see a physical three-dimensional object, but science has realised that what we see external to ourselves is only two-dimensional.  The brain interprets it as three dimensions, the brain fills in all the bits and pieces.

Beyond ourselves, beyond our eyes, there is no colour, there is no smell, there is no shape. There’s nothing really, it’s just energy. There are certain refractions and reflections and vibrations that happen so the light gets reflected off the energy of the body, into our eyes and the brain interprets everything that we’re seeing, so we see three dimensions and we see colours. The scents come into our nose as vibrations and the brain interprets those vibrations as being certain scents.

Sounds are vibrations which hit the eardrum and the brain interprets those sounds as particular things, but all of this is just vibration, it’s energy.

Everything that we experience, everything around us is purely just energy and we can take that energy and form it into different things.

It’s just a nice way to view the magical process, I think, and it’s one that I like to use myself, especially when it comes to things like servitors, but as I say, if you’re doing candle magick, you may go through the process of putting oil on the candle, of praying over the candle, of putting herbs on and around the candle and then lighting it and you may interpret that whole process as just being you thinking it, therefore it will be, but I like to consider it a bit more than that.

You’re not just thinking about it. Those thoughts are energy.

The vibration from the herbs and the oils, the energy that is imbued in them and the natural energy of the herbs get added to magick, so you’ve got a plate or some container where you place your candle, herbs and oils, but there is this build up of energy because of the oils and herbs, and because you’ve prayed over it, you’ve concentrated the energy.

You’ve concentrated your thoughts and speech into this small area, which is around the candle.

That then becomes this ball of energy, this ball of spell working that you are filling with this particular task, with this particular thing.

As the candle burns, your intent then goes off to its target and does what it needs to and therefore through the process of burning that candle you are letting the energy move along its energy filament, along its thread to reach its target.

We also speak about lusting after results. Once you’ve finished your spell working, you forget about it.

The reason for that is that you might start questioning the working you were doing.

Did you do it right? Should you have done it another way? And such things. What then happens is that as that ball of energy is moving along its thread, you have these other thoughts that come along, and don’t forget that those thoughts are also energy, and they start hitting the ball of energy which was your working. They then start to knock the ball of energy off course and it shifts onto a different thread and goes in a completely different direction, where it has absolutely no purpose and therefore it doesn’t fulfil the spell working which your desire was intended for.

All of it can be seen as working with energy, moving energy through the body, the thoughts, speech. All of it is just energy.

Dealing with Astral Parasites & Self-Created Thought Forms

There are a lot of ways that we can be attacked, psychically and astrally.

Today I’m talking about two specific negative entities that you can find yourself under attack from and ways that you can deal with that. Negative entities, how they attack, how to identify them, and what to do with them if you are under attack.

We are going to speak specifically about astral parasites and self-created thought forms. I think these are the most common negative entities that come along and attack people. However, it doesn’t need to be specifically somebody who are working magick, especially in the case of self-created thought forms. A lot of the time a self-created thought form is created by people who don’t work magick.

I think in most cases this goes hand in hand with people thinking it is ghosts or poltergeists or something like that, but it is a self-created thought form.

If you are under attack, what you will find a lot of the time, especially astral parasites, you are going to find yourself possibly in depression or anxiety, even having suicidal tendencies. In all of these cases, please seek out professional help. Seek out a psychologist and a psychiatrist if necessary. It’s vital, it’s extremely vital.

Let’s start with astral parasites.

I speak about astral parasites quite a bit on my channel. In demonolatry, quite often, they are referred to as Others. These are low energy forms, often called demonic, but they are low energy entities.

Quite often, especially when we work with spirits of various types, we can find that an astral parasite gets attached to us instead of the Daemon or deity that we are wishing to communicate with. These astral parasites can come through in many other ways.

You could open a portal, for instance, and not close it properly afterwards.

Even if you’ve opened the portal to work with specific deities and those deities or Daemons have come through and you’ve worked with them, and they have gone home again, if you haven’t closed the portal properly, then the astral parasites are going to come along, see the open portal and fly towards this opening.

You may find if you’ve opened a portal within your home, you’re going to have attacks in your home.

It’s quite often when we don’t use discernment properly, when we are working with a deity, a demon, a divine intelligence, and we contact that demon, what comes through is not the demon itself. You may think it is, but it’s actually an astral parasite.

There are ways to test this.

The easiest way is how it makes you feel.

If it makes you feel anxious, if it makes you feel fearful, if you feel like you’re under threat, or anything like that. Then it’s probably an astral parasite.

There are some exceptions to this, depending on the work you’re doing and the demon you’re working with, which could be something in the lines of teaching you.

You also get instances where a demon will literally rip your life to pieces in order to put it back together again. These are severe cases. If you work with Mammon, for instance, you might have that happen, but you need to be able to discern between the demon itself and an astral parasite.

Through doing that you will know it’s the actual demon you’re working with, and if you go through those processes, you know what’s going to come out at the end, and that will be a lot of happiness and a lot of improvement in your life.

There are exceptions to the case, but generally speaking, if you are going to work with a demon, and the energy of that demon comes in, it is usually quite comforting.

If it’s an astral parasite coming through, you’re going to feel threatened, you might feel cold, but even if the demon comes through and you feel icy cold, you will  still find, I do anyway, that it’s comforting. Even if it’s icy cold or if it’s warm, it’s still a comfortable sort of feeling.

That is the easiest way to discern between the demon and the astral parasite.

Over time if you’re working constantly with the same spirit, you’ll find that the difference between a demon and an astral parasite is quite definite.

If the entity is asking you to harm yourself or other people. If you are getting more and more depressed and anxious. Any of these negative emotions, any of the negative thoughts, any of these negative feelings, that’s an astral parasite.

A demon is not going to ask you to harm yourself or other people.

If you do start having those thoughts, then you’re probably dealing with an astral parasite.

With an astral parasite you’ll usually find that you’ll ask for something and you’ll get it, quite fast, almost immediately. That is the astral parasite instilling confidence in itself, so that you actually do want to work the spirit because it brings you things.

It brings you what you’ve asked for, but then it starts asking you for things that you’re not comfortable with and it tells you that you have to do it.

It will force and force and force and will create more depression. It will create more anxiety or create more fear. It’s that fear and depression that it feeds off, so it wants to create that, and so it will bring you things in order to create confidence.

If that’s happening, stop.

If you’re getting depressed or being told to do things you don’t want to, stop immediately.

The longer you continue with that relationship, the worse it becomes, the more ingrained it becomes, the more energetically bonded you become, and then it becomes more difficult to release that bond and release that energy.

If you find that it’s an astral parasite, stop.

It doesn’t matter if it’s bringing things, stop anyway. In the long term you are just going to end up with huge problems.

The way to get rid of an astral parasite; firstly, stop interacting with it, stop entertaining it and tell it to piss off. It probably won’t but tell it anyway and keep telling it to piss off, you don’t want it around.

Depending on the bond you’ve created, it may come back, but just keep repeating the process until it’s gone.

You might also find that your environment and your house become messy and dirty. Clean from top to bottom, get rid of all the negative energy and that means cleaning. It means doing the dirty dishes, it means washing the floor, it means, in severe cases, washing the walls and the ceiling.

Get rid of all that negative energy, push that out of your house and it will help push the negative energy away from you and out of you, so clean your house, make sure that it’s neat and tidy and it will help get rid of that astral parasite. If you have an untidy and dirty house, it’s just going to attract more negativity, so make sure everything’s clean.

If it’s standing in front of you and you know it’s there; you can feel it standing in front of you. Try drawing a banishing pentagram. You can use a banishing pentagram of the earth and sort of push it, project it towards and through this entity and it will disappear. If it’s a demon or any form of divine intelligence, it won’t disappear.

There are other methods you can use, especially if you’re working in the astral, and you start working with a demon for the first time. Maybe you meet on the astral plane, and you want to make sure it is that demon and not an astral parasite posing as that demon. Best thing to use is the pentagram.

You can also ask it questions. You can ask it personal questions about yourself that only you know.

A demon will know them, an astral parasite will not, so if they can’t answer, banish, and then just go from there. If it’s an astral parasite, don’t engage it, don’t entertain it, just get rid of it, banish it.

Then, self-created thought forms. These come up a lot more than we think, and a lot of people don’t want to believe that they have created a thought form that is attacking them. It’s just something that we don’t want to even consider most of the time, but it happens a lot. Especially if someone is in an abusive relationship, or in any kind of environment or relationship where they feel threatened.

What usually happens is the rage builds up and that rage then becomes a thought form, and that thought form is constantly attacking them.

You might find that you have activity in your house, because these thought forms can become physical, and I literally mean physical. They can throw things around; they can attack your body physically. That’s how severe and how strong your thoughts can become, and those thoughts are obviously generated from negative emotions.

The anger, the rage, the hatred towards a person or a situation or something. If that builds up enough, it can create that thought form and that form is projected. It kind of separates itself from the person so that it anthropomorphises, but it becomes external to them, so in many cases it can be dealt with.

Once that thought form becomes externalized, it can be dealt with almost one on one.

In a lot of cases this type of work can be healing, but in this particular case where it is generated from that rage and that hatred and anger, it isn’t really healing, it starts attacking the person.

If you find that you have a “ghost” or poltergeist in your house. Things are being thrown around, books are falling off the bookshelf, those usual signs, and you have tried smudging the house or any similar method and through that method, smudging for instance, the activities become stronger, you’ve basically pissed off the entity, it’s not gone, it’s still there.

It is probably a self-created thought form, and there are many ways to get rid of these thought forms.

I’ll talk about the method that I use, which is quite advanced, so if you are battling to get rid of it, you can just pop onto my website and give me a shout for some assistance. In cases like this, it’s definitely required to go and get professional help.

Also, seek out a psychologist, you need that help.

You are probably in an abusive relationship, or you have an abusive environment, where you are constantly being attacked and you are not able to fight back. Through that it creates the rage and the anger and the hatred. You need help.

If you are in a physically abusive relationship, emotionally abusive, mentally abusive, get the help you need. That’s usually going to be a psychologist, but it might also be the police. If you need to get the police involved, do so.  You cannot stay in that situation and do not think for a minute or a second that it will stop. Do not think that things are going to get better, or things will change, they will not. You need to get out, you have to.

Concerning the thought form itself. The main way is to get that help, because then you can help yourself overcome that rage, anger and hatred and it’s those emotions that the thought form feeds on and the fear it creates.

If you can work through and get rid of those emotions, the thought form is just going to disintegrate, it’s going to dissolve, because it has no more fear to feed on. That is what it feeds on, what it grows stronger from, your own fear. As it attacks you, it creates fear, more anger and that’s what it feeds on and it just gets stronger.

Work through that. Work through the situation in your life. Work through those emotions and try to resolve them.

The method that I use when I help other people is that I eat, literally eat the thought form.

What this means is that you gather up the thought form, put it into something, a cake, a cookie, something you can physically eat. Through that process you transmute the negative energy into something positive.

You push it into the item of food and then you eat it and you take it into yourself and through that process the transformation of the energy from the negative to the positive, that gets imbued in your body and imbued in your own energy.

You can use it for a lot of different things.

You can use it for healing, but as I say, it’s very advanced, so if you’re not sure how to take that energy and transmute it and you need it done now, seek somebody who can.

Another method I like to use is very similar.

It’s kind of instinctual, but I kind of gather the thought form in front of me and then wings, can only describe them as these bright, white wings that come out of my back, kind of wrap around the thought form and then I actually pull it in and absorb the energy into myself.

Through the process of the wings wrapping around and creating what feels like comfort, it transmutes the negative energy into something positive, then I take it into myself, and it becomes positive energy.

I am going to repeat it again.

Advanced methods. Make sure you know what you are doing before you do this kind of thing, because if you pull that energy in and you haven’t transmuted it into something different, you’re just going to pull in negative energy, you’re going to pull in anger, rage, hatred, which is not going to do you much good.

Definitely figure it out first before you do something like that, but the number one way of getting rid of a self-created thought form, is to seek out professional help and deal with the situation, deal with your emotions. It’s going to take a long time. It’s not going to be overnight.

Even if you do some kind of working where you transmute the energy and you get rid of this thought form; if you are still in the environment and you are still feeling those feelings of anger, rage and hatred, it’s just going to create itself again. That is why you need to deal with that circumstance and get it resolved.

Communicating With Daemons

Today we are talking about how to communicate with Daemons, because this question comes up a lot, for obvious and good reason.

When we are working with spirits, we need some kind of interaction.

We are putting stuff in, we want to get stuff back. Probably the most difficult part is listening and I think the question is not really how we communicate with Daemons, but how do we listen to Daemons or how do we hear Daemons?

When you are busy trying to talk to a Daemon, there is a period where you need to stop talking and open up and listen.

That can be difficult, especially for somebody who is just starting out.

A lot of the skills that you need in order to work with or communicate with the Daemons is something that you will need to develop over time.

If you are in the beginning stages, don’t get too frustrated. There are ways that they will talk to you, which you just need to open yourself up to.

Some of the easiest or obvious methods are signs and dreams. You might have some dreams after talking to a Daemon or having been in a ritual where you are trying to communicate with this Daemon, trying to get some answers. You might not get the dreams that night, it might happen in a couple weeks time. The best thing to do is to keep a journal and just to note everything down.

Signs and symbols are also one of the ways they communicate. You may find signs just pop-up during the day and it gets to the point where it’s not coincidental.

If you are trying to get particular knowledge about something, there are a lot of Daemons that will teach you and give you knowledge. When we read the old grimoires and the descriptions in there, we often think that they teach us directly, that they are going to sit there opposite you with a book and a pen, and them with a blackboard giving instruction, but it doesn’t quite work that way.

It’s very similar to a Daemon who brings you gold. It doesn’t mean that they are going to drop gold at your doorstep or at the foot of your bed, they are simply going to align your energy so that you can go in a direction with your business or your job so that you can get to that point where you are bringing in the gold, so to speak.

Coming back to a Daemon who is going to teach you or bring you knowledge, you might find that you come across a particular book. Maybe one that keeps popping up. It may be in adverts while you are browsing the internet or all of a sudden in a group someone starts talking about this book.

Those kinds of things are signs that they are trying to push your way so that you can get the knowledge, so lookout for all those signs and symbols and everything else and again, keep a journal, because often we may see things and we may note them down and then we keep seeing the same things. When we go back in our journals we will notice patterns that start happening. If we are not journaling then we completely miss the pattern.

Those are the simplest ways for the Daemons to communicate with you. Through dreams, symbols, signs and patterns.

Some other ways that you can listen to the Daemons and communicate with them is through divination, you might want to use Tarot, although you have to be quite skilled at Tarot. I say that, but it depends on how developed you have become with divination techniques, you might draw a spread of Tarot and all of a sudden, the answer just shows itself.

A nice one to use is a pendulum. If you have been using a pendulum, you’re quite skilled at it, if you haven’t been, find a pendulum and start working with that. You can use a board which has letters and numbers on it, very much like a spirit board but in this case, the pendulum will swing to particular letters to spell out a sentence or will show you a series of numbers.

Scrying is a good method. In fact, scrying is the one that was used mostly in the old grimoires.

You would have your circle and outside that is the triangle of manifestation or the Triangle of Arte. Within the triangle was the scrying device. Through the scrying device the spirit would communicate with the magician. Scrying is a good method, and you can easily make a black mirror. There’s plenty of instruction on how to make black mirrors on the internet.

You can also use a bowl of water or ink; water is less expensive if you are going to do this often. With water you can take a black ceramic bowl and fill that with water and then experiment with different types of water. You can experiment with tap water, river water, rainwater, and sea water. You might get different results with different waters because they hold different energies.

When scrying with water, what you can also do, if you are specifically working with Daemons and Daemonolatry, as it’s a bloodletting tradition, is add a drop or two of blood in the water. You can also add Delepitore oil to it. You’ve got all these things you can add to the water in order to do the scrying.

You can also scry with fire. You can use a candle flame. You can use a bonfire. There are many different methods, and it might be worth exploring the other techniques.

We hear about Tarot, rune, pendulum, scrying quite often because those are the most popular methods, but there are a load of different ways you can scry or divine an answer from the Daemons.

You can even just watch the sky, watch the clouds forming in the sky. They might form into particular patterns and particular shapes and symbols that is a communication from the Daemon.

You can even use a spirit board, more commonly known as the Ouija board. I think there is a lot of hype around the spirit board. If you are using the spirit board to communicate with the dead, you can open a portal, which then brings a lot of astral parasites through. It isn’t that easy working with the actual dead, but in this case we are talking about Daemons, working or communication with the Daemons and when I say demons, I mean Divine Intelligences. We are not just talking about the Daemons like Lucifer, Azazel, Belial, Leviathan etc. We are also talking about angels, gods and goddesses.

If you are using a spirit board, you can dedicate the spirit board itself to the spirit with whom you want to communicate. There are instructions for this in S. Connolly’s book, Daemonolator’s Guide to Daemonic Magick.

You’d dedicate the board to the spirit and then you communicate with that spirit using that specific board.  It does open a portal for communication, but it’s less likely that you are going to get an astral parasite, unless you don’t close it properly.

If you are going to start using a spirit board, or any kind of divination, where you are opening a portal to the spirit realm in order to communicate, learn how to open and close that portal.

When we are working with Daemons, just trying to communicate with them, we sit down and chant the enn and they come through and we communicate with them. This is not opening a portal per se, and it’s difficult to explain, they’re coming through but they’re not coming through as potently as they would if you did a gate opening and you step into their realm, or you open the gate, and their energy comes into our realm. That’s quite different, and when you are working with the spirit board and some other methods of divination you are opening those portals, and as I say, if you need to, then just learn how to open and close a portal properly.

If you don’t close the portal properly, then you will get astral parasites. They see this opening afterwards and they start coming through.

During the process, if you are working with a particular Daemon, you will probably find that they will not come through, if you are working with that actual Daemon at the time and not an astral parasite posing as that demon, bear that in mind.

So, there are many ways to communicate. You can use the spirit board, which has letters and numbers, you can use a pendulum which has letters and numbers, so you can spell out words, you can spell out a name and things like that.

Automatic drawing is a very good method, again, something you need to practice at getting skilled with, because with automatic drawing you do need to open yourself up a lot and allow the spirit to have control of your body, mostly your hand holding the pen or pencil.

That is very similar to the spirit board. You need to allow the spirit to move your arms, so with automatic drawing you are going to allow the spirit to move your hand holding the pen or pencil.

What comes through could be you creating symbols, or it could be a personal sigil that the spirit is giving you in order to call it the next time.

Automatic drawing is great if you need to get a sigil or get a particular symbol in order to communicate with the Daemon.

Dice are great if you need a yes/no answer. You can use dice, or a single die, depending on how you want to do it, and just experiment with it and find out what works best for you. Take two objects and assign yes and no to each object. You might be asking which incense the spirit prefers, frankincense or myrrh? You then throw the die, and whichever object it goes towards, that’s the answer.

You need to experiment with these methods in order to find the one that works best for you.

You might also find that a particular method works well with one spirit, but another works well for another spirit.

The easiest way to communicate with the Daemons is to simply sit down and talk to the Daemon, then listen for the reply. That reply can come through as intuition. It can come through as images, or a smell. It could be a sound you hear that represents something, or you could even hear a voice, and this depends a lot on your natural abilities. You may be clairaudient (hear things), you may be clairvoyant (see things), you may be clairsentient etc. That is why it comes through in different ways.

I am clairsentient, so I get impressions, which means you just kind of know.

When we talk about the Sight and Seeing, because we are using these particular words, we often think it’s done with our eyes or our third eye, this eye that opens up in your forehead and that’s how you see things.

When you are Seeing (with a capital S) you are seeing with your entire being, so you are experiencing the unknown, experiencing the unseen with your entire being. It’s not just sight in the physical sense, you don’t just see. You may feel things, you may hear things and you may just know things, so open yourself up to that whole experience.

Don’t just sit there and think that you are going to see it like you do with your physical eyes.

Rather don’t expect anything and just open yourself up letting whatever comes through come to you and see where it takes you, see where your natural abilities are actually more developed and you can develop the other abilities over time, but find out what your natural abilities are to begin with.

This is why I say it’s not always a skill which we need to develop.

What we need to do is trust ourselves.

When you are talking to a spirit and they give you a reply, quite often you will hear it as your own voice in your head and this is something a lot of us do the entire day where we are talking to ourselves with our own voice. The internal dialogue.

We might play out scenarios or conversations before we have them and we are always hearing it in our head, so when we are communicating with the spirit, we hear this reply and hear it in our head the same way we do quite often when we are talking to ourselves.

That is why we think it’s just ourselves talking to ourselves, and sometimes it is, sometimes what we have to do is talk to ourselves, talk back to ourselves, but eventually what happens is the spirit itself starts taking over, but it’s very subtle most of the time.

In order to discern whether it is you talking to yourself or whether the Daemon is talking to you is something that you need to trust yourself with.

What you will find is that every now and then you will get a reply which is something completely not what you would have ever thought of saying, completely out of character for you.

It’s just something that comes out of nowhere and you may hear it in your own voice, as your inner voice, but it’s something that is totally out of character for you and something you would never have thought of saying.

Then you realize that it’s actually communication from the spirit and that gives us a bit more confidence, but we really do need to learn how to trust ourselves.

When doing magick, don’t just sit there and think, Okay, did it work? Nothing seemed to have happened, it wasn’t like wow in the movies.

We need to trust ourselves a lot more and that brings the results.

If it’s you just talking to yourself, it’s fine, keep doing it and you’ll find that the spirit then takes over and you are then communicating with the spirit directly.

Sometimes it comes through as impressions, sometimes it comes through as visualizations, as images, things in your head, in your imagination. A particular picture could pop up, maybe you are trying to get knowledge from a particular demon about a particular topic and a book will suddenly appear in your head. Then you can go and look for that book on the internet or in the bookshop.

You will have to trust yourself, open yourself up and allow the process to happen the way that it needs to.

There are probably more methods that we can talk about, but I think those are the main things to mention to get you started.

Making Daemonic Pacts

Pacts are one of those things that are often spoken about, although usually from a Hollywood perspective. There are a lot of myths around pact making, but if you’ve read any of the old grimoires like Grimorium Verum, you would have come across the mention of pacts in there.

You’ll probably find, if you’ve studied Modern Daemonolatry, that there is not a lot of mention of pacts. The reason being that Modern Daemonolators prefer to create a relationship with the Daemonic and the Divine Intelligence, the Daemonic force, the Spirits they are wishing to work with.

A case of wanting to work with a particular Daemon, therefore I’m just going to make a pact and that’s it, is very rare. Usually, there’s a relationship that is created and evolves, so there’s no need to make that pact. At the end of the day, it’s an ongoing relationship. It’s not just a once-off, you do this, I’ll do that and that’s it.

However, if you are wishing to make a pact with a Daemon, then it’s quite simple really.

It’s a contract, an oath.

When we talk about oaths, in our modern day we find a lot of people make promises and they don’t stick to them. They may even make contracts and then find a way to get out of it. When you make a contract, or a pact, an oath with a Daemon, there’s no way of getting out of it. It’s an oath.

You’re bound to it and you have to follow through.

If you are going to make a pact, think very carefully of what you’re going to put in that pact, but generally a pact is an agreement, it’s a contract.

You ask the Daemonic force to do a particular thing for you and in return you will do a particular thing for them, an exchange.

When I talk about Daemonolotors creating a relationship with the Daemonic force, there is already an exchange of energy taking place. It takes place all the time, so over a period of time (could be a few months or years or a lifetime) that relationship builds, but there’s an exchange of energy.

You give your energy, and something is given in return.

When you create a pact, you usually write it in letter form. You can put your blood on it to seal  the oath and then you put it away. However, remember you must follow through. Do what you said you were going to do regardless of what happens, you must do what you agreed to.

The Myths

When you make a pact with a demon, they do not take your soul.

You do not sell your soul to the devil. You do not sell your soul to a Daemon.

In fact, if you make a pact with a Daemonic force and you say something like, “In ten years time you can have my soul”, they are going to laugh at you and say that is not what they want, so bugger off.

If you do not listen to that and you carry on with the pact, you will probably find an astral parasite will come along, see some yummy food (you), and will latch on to you. It will then start giving you those things that you asked for in the pact, posing as that Daemonic force.

In this case however, they will just create fear, anxiety and depression in you.

You will slowly be drained of energy.

You will be a shell of yourself at the end of the day.

Do not go making pacts where you are selling your soul to a Daemonic force because it is not going to work. It’s going to be detrimental to you, you are going to carry on thinking you’ve made this pact with this Daemon, but you actually didn’t, you made it with an astral parasite who’s posing as that Daemon.

So, there is no selling your soul and saying in ten years time you can have my soul and drag me to hell. That is Hollywood stuff.

As I say, a lot of the stuff we think we know about pacts is from Hollywood movies and TV series such as Supernatural. Although I love them, I mean Supernatural was a fantastic TV series, it’s not all together true.

If you are going to make a pact, remember that it is a contract, it’s an oath, you write a letter saying, “Daemon ABC, I ask that you perform these particular tasks for me and in return I will give you XYZ.”

What you give can vary. The best thing you can do is to sit down with the Daemonic force beforehand and ask them what they want.

It is the same if you are doing invocation work.

You call a Daemon into your space; you ask it to do XYZ and you give it something in return, and it is better to ask the Daemon what they want in return rather than simply guessing.

There are various ways you can do divination work to find out what the demon wants, or you can just sit down and ask the demon directly.

So, you create your contract, or your pact, writing something like (although much simplified), “Daemon ABC, I ask that you do this and that for me, and in return I will give you XYZ“. Then you sign it, you can put your blood on it, fold it up, put it away and stick to it. That’s it.

Do not put in I am selling my soul to you, or in ten years time you can take my soul. None of that Hollywood garbage. Don’t bother with that, because it’s not going to help you.

So that’s if you want to make a pact, but to go back to what I was originally saying, you don’t need to make a pact with a Daemon.

You can simply build a relationship and that relationship continues over months, over years, and you continually work with the Daemonic force that can help you with the things that you want to bring into your life, or the changes that you want to make in your life.

That’s the best way to go about it.

I actually did make a pact years ago with Clauneck. It was a very simple pact. It was to help me with money, bring me riches, etc. I can’t remember what I offered him in return, I do remember that he wanted my left shoe. I had some old trainers, and he wanted the left one. So, I placed it on the altar with the box the pact was put in and that was his offering. There were some other things that I offered in return, and it worked, but that was a long time ago. This was before I discovered modern Daemonolatry, when I was working in more of a Satanic format.

However, the pact did work. It brought me money to get through a particular period of my life where things were very difficult and I got enough money to get through it. It took place over about a six to ten month period and at the end of it, that was it. The pact was finished.

I am still here and have not sold my soul, and I am not being dragged to hell by hellhounds or anything like that.

You can do the pacts if you want to, but as I say, if you are going to really work with a Daemonic force, it is better to build a relationship.

That’s really it.

If you go into the Grimorium Verum, there is a particular way that you make pacts. You work with a particular spirit, which is kind of the gatekeeper and then you go through that spirit and you contact the other spirits like Clauneck.

If you are going to make a pact according to the grimoire itself, I suggest that you really study it. The problem with the Grimorium Verum is that a lot of material is missing. As an example, the lamen right at the beginning is missing from all copies of the text and so people sort of make a guess as to what it is.

If you are going to work with any of the old grimoires, just make sure you know what’s going on, you understand it and that you know how to work with the spirits in that particular fashion.

It’s definitely not my preferred method and I personally suggest building that lasting relationship with them.

The Importance of Belief In Magick

I’ve seen a lot of people in the magical community talk about belief as if it’s something we as magicians shouldn’t have, because belief is something that is based on the understanding or acceptance of something without proof.

I don’t believe that belief is something we should not have. We definitely should have belief.

There are different stages we go through with our magical practice, with our path, our journey.

Right at the beginning, belief is going to be a necessity because we don’t have the proof yet, but even later when we do have proof, there are still things that we need to believe in.

I previously spoke about God, what is God, God versus Satan, and in that podcast I say that God is Everything and No-Thing.

When we speak about the No-Thing, it’s something that we can’t quantify. Something we cannot define or explain. We can’t even experience it, so there is a belief that must happen there.

Let’s just have a quick look at what belief is from the dictionaries:

  • An opinion or judgement in which a person is fully persuaded
  • An acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof

When we talk about the nothing or the No-Thing it is something we can’t experience, something we can’t quantify, define, explain, anything like that.

We must sort of get to that point where we do believe in something. It’s not necessary and of course, everybody’s going to be different. They are going to be going down their own path. They are going to be experiencing different things and they are going to be pursuing different things.

Somebody who is doing magick, who doesn’t have any kind of belief or worship of deity, or God or anything of that nature and is just purely using magick as a science, there is still belief that must be present, because we can’t do magick without the belief.

For instance, if you do a candle working or a sigil magick working or something like that and you sit back and say I don’t believe this is going to work, then it’s not going to work because there is no belief that it will. There’s no belief in yourself, there is no belief in the magick, there’s no belief in the spell work or in the working itself.

If you don’t have that belief, then the opposite of what you think is going to happen, or what you expect is going to happen, will happen.

We also see this a lot with cursing work, hexing, jinxing and things like that, 95% of curses are psychosomatic.

The person who has the curse put on them, believes that the person who put it on them is strong enough to do so, therefore they believe in their magick, they believe they have been cursed. Even if that person hasn’t done anything, they are still going to believe it and the curse is going to come true, it’s going to manifest, because they are going to manifest it themselves, and that is because they have a belief that the curse was done, the curse is working, the curse is attacking them and it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If you do a magick working and you don’t believe it’s going to work, it’s not going to, so you have to have belief in yourself, you have to have belief in your magick.

That’s difficult sometimes, especially when you are a beginner, because you haven’t got the proof yet. Later, as you carry on you do the magick working and you see the proof firsthand and that makes it a lot easier to believe.

It’s kind of like coming out of a negative state and trying to get yourself into a positive state. Until you see the positive things happen, you’re going to stay in this negative state. While you are in that negative state it’s just going to be negativity because all you’re doing is thinking negatively.

If you are in a negative state where you are financially crippled, to try and come out of that is extremely difficult because you don’t have the belief that it’s going to happen. You don’t think that anything positive can come through for you and therefore you continue to think negatively.

All that negative thought is magick work itself. That negative thought is projection of thought, it’s a projection of energy and what is going to happen is that you are going to project that negative energy out and what you’re going to get back is negative energy.

To try and break that and push out positive energy in order to get positive results is extremely difficult, especially when you are in that cycle.

Same thing with belief, belief comes into play there also. If you don’t believe that you are going to get out of this cycle, you’re not going to get out of it.

You have to try and believe that you will, you have to believe that it’s possible. If you don’t believe in what you are doing, you are not going to be able to manifest it because, while you are busy doing visualisation or whatever method you’re doing, you are usually instructed to see that thing as if you already have it. If you don’t have it, if you are in that negative state, you just keep revolving and cycling around this negative circle.

Then visualising yourself as having a particular thing to the point where you feel it, you feel the emotions, you feel the desire, you feel the actual act of having it, of possessing it, is going to be very difficult to manifest, because what is going to start creeping in are the negative thoughts and those are your beliefs.

All of this revolves around belief. If you don’t believe something is going to work, it won’t. If you do believe there is a possibility that it will come true, then it will. But in the back of your head, there are still those conscious thoughts.

Sigil magick is a perfect example here.

When you do sigil magick you do the working, you sort of vacate yourself of any conscious thought that could actually counteract what you’re doing. While you are doing the working, you believe in the working. You do the sigil working, you go into that trance state and then transfer the glyph or the image to your unconscious mind.

Once that is done, you may start thinking it’s not going to work, didn’t do it right, or you say things like, maybe I should change the will sentence, maybe my glyph wasn’t good enough. All of these things will start punching at your magick work, will start entering the unconscious mind then it will start pulling the sigil back into the conscious mind and start attacking it.

You need to suspend all of that, so you need to believe that what you’ve done is right, you need to believe what you’ve done is going to work, no questions asked, and it will work.

That belief becomes extremely important.

Now, this is different to faith. Faith’s definition is:

  • Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing
  • Belief that is not based on proof

Faith is different to belief. Although they do sort of go hand in hand.

You believe in something you have no proof of, but at the same time you have faith that that thing is going to happen.

Faith requires action, so let’s come back to doing magick working.

You do your working. You don’t have proof that it’s going to work, so you believe it’s going to work, but by doing the action itself, by doing the working, by doing the candle magick or sigil magick working, whatever type of magick you’re doing, you have faith that by doing that action, it is going to bring you the results that you want.

The whole thing is to believe.

Believe in yourself and I’m going to come back to cursing because it’s one of the easiest examples.

If somebody comes to you and says, “I have cursed you”, you should believe in your own magick, in yourself, in your protection. It goes a very long way to counteract that curse, because if your belief is stronger that the other person’s, you’re going to win.

It’s all a case of believing in yourself and as I say, as you go through the journey, you get more proof. You do magick workings that you can see the results of, so you get the proof that your magick works.

You work with spirits and you get proof they exist.

As you carry on through your journey you do get the results and you do see the proof and therefore belief in these things becomes a lot easier.

Even years and years down the line you’re going to have moments where you’re going to doubt and that’s normal. We are human after all.

Every now and then we do a working and it doesn’t work and then you start doubting yourself but then you bring yourself back to the fact that you have had proof in the past, therefore something just went wrong.

Maybe you’re having a bad day.

Maybe it was the wrong time to do that working.

Maybe it is not the right time for it to manifest.

There are a lot of elements that come into play as to why something didn’t work, even if you have the belief.

All you have to do then is go back to the drawing board and just re-evaluate, redesign and redo.

When you redo, have belief.

Sometimes it can simply be using a different type of magick.

Maybe you used a technique that wasn’t quite right at that time, wasn’t quite right for that thing you were trying to manifest.

Using a different method, using a different technique might bring results because in the past that particular technique had better results than the first one you used, therefore your belief is stronger in that technique itself.

It’s belief, it’s all about the belief, so believe in yourself, believe in your magick, believe in the spirits you work with if you work with them and don’t forget that and everything should be fine.

Daemonic Teamwork

I’m sure you have come across reports of people doing evocations, invocations and such things with various spirits and I’m speaking specifically in connection with the Daemons in Daemonolatry.

You usually get a lot of reports from ceremonial magicians regarding this, and Daemonolators as well although the approach is usually different, but with most of these reports or testimonies, let’s state it that way, people come along, they do the work with a particular Daemon and they come back and then share their experiences. With those experiences, you usually find that they call one particular Daemon for one particular task.

This has led us to believe that this is the only way it should work.

I find there are different ways we can work with Daemons, but there is some kind of teamwork that happens and this can happen in two ways.

If you are working on something in your life, let’s go with money magic, and you have a business, you can create a team of Daemons for that particular thing.

Each Daemon will have a particular aspect or area they will focus on. For example, you can have Clauneck, Belphegor, Beelzebub, Mammon, you can even look at Belial, Bune. There are a lot of spirits that will help you with money and business and things like that.

What you do is get your team together. So for instance Mammon is right at the top, he is the one who’s going to take your business and make it into an empire.

Along that path you have other things that need to happen. You might have a month where you will suddenly need to generate emergency income, so you might go to Clauneck for that. Whereas Belphegor will take your existing projects and grow them, keep them going, keep them moving.

If you are a writer or an artist, you might want to look at someone like Aim who will give you inspiration.

There are demons that will give you influence. In this regard you are looking at social media and other platforms like that.

You can create this whole team of Daemons and you don’t necessarily need to go to one specific Daemon at one time and say please do this. You can go to all of them and you can have a discussion. Almost like a board meeting.

It’s not a case of doing something at this particular time and then doing something else at that particular time. Things need to happen all at the same time while you are influencing your social media followers.

You may also need inspiration for a new project, or you may have a project you just launched and you need to get that moving. All these things need to happen at the same time.

The other way this tends to happen is outlined in the following example.

A friend of mine went to Clauneck and needed some money quickly and it was an emergency, started working with Clauneck, but then Lucifer came through.

If you have read the Grimorium Verum, you will know that Clauneck falls under Lucifer, so it kind of made sense. Lucifer came through and Clauneck was there, and they were both interacting.

Then I did some work with her where we called Lucifer and instead of Clauneck coming through, Belial came through. I was expecting a completely different spirit, but Belial decided to come through because he wanted to work with her at that time. Considering what she was going through, it made sense.

What confused her is that she called Clauneck to do the work, nobody else, just Clauneck.

What happened was Clauneck saw that another spirit may be able to help in a particular area, went to Lucifer, said who can we use and eventually Belial came along and said I’m the one to use right now. This whole teamwork happened.

If you are wanting to get a particular thing done and you are looking for the exact right spirit, you might get a bit confused because there may be ten Daemons who can help you with your task, so which one do you pick? Pick the one that feels right for you. Pick the one that resonates with you at that time.

If that particular one isn’t exactly fitting the task that you require, it doesn’t mean the work will not be done. It will mean that they may go to another spirit or another Daemon and ask them, “Can you help with this task?”, and if they can, they will come in and also help.

Don’t close yourself off to that because if you do you start pushing those things away, you start blocking them, rejecting them because that was not supposed to happen. You went to this particular Daemon, you said you want this task done and that is how it’s supposed to happen, that demon was supposed to do it. Don’t block yourself off to all the other possibilities that could come along.

If another Daemon needs to come in and help with that particular situation at that particular time until step 1 is complete and then another Daemon comes in and completes step 2, and so on and so forth, to get you to where need to go, where you need to be, don’t block yourself off to any of that.

I think that it’s very important to realize that just because we think it’s supposed to happen a particular way doesn’t mean it’s going to happen that way.

I’ve said it in the past and I will keep saying it. The Ceremonial approach to Goetic work, to dealing with the Daemons, to working with the Daemons, is one that traps, binds, commands, forces, threatens, etc., is not a good approach. In that situation you’ll probably have the magician call a particular Daemon and say do this or I am going to threaten you. Then if they don’t do the task, they get burnt and threatened, and if they actually get to the point where they can retaliate, they will retaliate and fight back.

Or, you can take the Daemonolator’s approach which is about respect. It’s about give and take. You give an offering, you get something in return. It’s also about building relationships, and if you have built relationships with the Daemons, they will all help.

It’s an energy exchange that happens. If the energy exchange is not happening and it is all just one-sided, you are going to end up with an imbalance. It’s that whole energy exchange that needs to take place.

Just because you have called a particular Daemon, doesn’t mean that that particular Daemon is able to accomplish the task you require. It’s not their fault, it’s just their aspect.

If somebody calls me and asks me to fix their sink and do the plumbing, I can’t do that. It’s not what I was trained for, it’s not what I am good at.

What I will do is call one of my friends who can fix the plumbing and will say come along, do the work, there we go, all done.

It’s the same scenario, if you call a demon that isn’t particularly skilled at what you want them to do, they are going to go off and call somebody who is. Expect that to happen, don’t block it off, don’t reject it, allow it to happen because it’s how you’re going to get the work done at the end of the day.

We tend to mostly read the successful experiences from Magicians, and we then get this impression that it’s simply a case of find the right Daemon, call that Daemon, ask it to go do what you want it to do and it will go off and come back with the results. That’s the impression we get, but a lot of other factors roll into it as well.

I will keep talking about all these factors that could influence your magick negatively. It could be that you are not able to get yourself into a positive frame of mind, you could be thinking too negatively. That’s going to impact your magick even if you do the work, you call the Daemon, you give the offerings and X, Y and Z. If you are constantly thinking negatively it’s not going to work.

All of these factors also come into it and sometimes it is difficult to get yourself into a positive frame of mind, especially if you are in a situation where it just seems like everything is after you and everything’s negative.

We will keep talking about these things, but I think this is quite important that we don’t close ourselves off to other possibilities.
